I'm surprised you went for Kewell though, looks a trendy appointment on paper, did well with limited resources at Crawley, but I would have gone for an experienced firefighter like Danny Wilson or Keith Curle.

Apparently he showed a lot of enthusiasm from his seat(which he never sat in) up in the box today. For what that's worth I still think we have some capable players, so we'll see what he can do with them.
Corky Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 Fair play to Accrington, promoted as champions with a tiny budget last season and now 9 points from 6 games in League One.

Hopefully when Kewell gets down on the pitch things will improve. Can't say I'm too optimistic at this point though. Is that Daniel Jones who used to play for us?

The Bear Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 I remember him being young but with a great left foot on him from free kicks. Seemed more suited to LM than LB. Where's he playing now?

Koke Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 Checked how Coventry were doing. They've scored 3 goals in 6 games and currently sit 19th. It's been nearly 7 years since we last played them. Would love to get them in the cup.
Wymsey Posted 1 September 2018 Author Posted 1 September 2018 Fair play to Sunderland's home attendances so far, with over 32,000 watching the draw with Oxford (a game that had a slightly bigger crowd than LCFC v Liverpool..).
spacemunky Posted 8 September 2018 Posted 8 September 2018 2 down 17 minutes in at Exeter. I would say it was horrible defending, but there wasn't any actual defending. Kewell out!
Tuna Posted 8 September 2018 Posted 8 September 2018 Grimsby being thrashed 4-0 at Bury, wouldn't be surprised to see Jolley getting sacked.
Wymsey Posted 8 September 2018 Author Posted 8 September 2018 So, why did Kewell get the Notts County job?.. Would be a shame if they did continue to struggle and eventually get relegated.

Other than the opener, we've given up 3 or more in every league match. On the plus side: Boldewijn scored another beauty for us. Fitz made some great saves in the second half. And umm...there's always next week!

Wymsey Posted 15 September 2018 Author Posted 15 September 2018 Yeovil are winning 6-0 away to Newport.
spacemunky Posted 15 September 2018 Posted 15 September 2018 Notts still conceded the usual 3 today. But, we did manage to score 3 against Stevenage! With that point, I believe we've doubled our point total for the season. I'll have to check my math though.
Jimothy Posted 15 September 2018 Posted 15 September 2018 Two Blackpool players were sent off today for apparently fighting each other
MC Prussian Posted 15 September 2018 Posted 15 September 2018 Portsmouth going strong in League One, beating previous leaders Peterborough today - this makes them the only unbeaten team in the division.

They and Saints will be in the same division next season IMO

Tuna Posted 22 September 2018 Posted 22 September 2018 Grimsby lose again, I expect Jolley will be sacked now.
isaidno Posted 22 September 2018 Posted 22 September 2018 95th minute winner for Lincoln. Jason Shackell proving to be a great signing.
spacemunky Posted 22 September 2018 Posted 22 September 2018 A point for Notts at Northampton gets us out of last place at least.

Tuna Posted 29 September 2018 Posted 29 September 2018 Another miserable defeat for Grimsby - 2-1 at home to fellow strugglers Morecambe having led at half-time. Embarrassing amateurish defending for both goals too (seen them on twitter). Wonder whether they'll bring Alan Buckley back for his 50th spell as manager when Jolley is sacked.
