Macia was definitely in talks with West Ham (and might still end up there - he's a scout not a director of football), and there was a lot of interest from Roma last year from Mahrez and a lot of interest from Man City this summer, so it's not exactly that far off is it? If you want to be bitter about it then fine - Percy got Mahrez going to Arsenal completely wrong last year too when he said it was imminent, so even he has got stuff wrong. Easy to have a pop and be cynical about it but I think you're having a go at the wrong bloke here.

However my cynicism arrives from their sources. Unless you are high up in the ladder and getting info from the top there is a likely hood you will get stuff wrong. I'm happy to read what people put and get all positive and hopeful. Its way better than having no news. At the end of the day its up to the individual to take whats being said as gospel. Unless you know someone high up or on the playing staff you won't be finding out much and when you finally do, it'll be common knowledge. Plenty on here who like to pass off stuff of their own when in reality they've just sourced it from twitter. So in many aspects @Babylon is right. One culprit that comes to mind who will remain unnamed I think is rife for it. Personally, you've got Ramadaone, Abrasive & Albert that get good bits. Take everyone else's info with a pinch of salt. It's very easy to make out like you have a good source. Most people know what mine is but like I've said they barely get a sniff these days. You'll notice everything that I've called recently (Valencia, Notts Co, United away first etc) isn't really top stuff but stuff that most people in the club will know about whilst working there. A lot of people will always be cynical about "ITK" stuff especially if things you've came out with haven't happened. But that's down to them and their personal perception. 5 1

No problem with that, however it just shows he's not the absolute gospel you seemed to suggest he was and he's also got plenty wrong about Leicester too. You seemed to hold him up as the one who's the ITK, and you're correct in that he's more right than wrong but doesn't that just prove that not everyone gets it right 100% of the time and they don't deserve the abuse you fling their way.

I think that's been obvious even in the press, Percy has been much quieter than usual compared to what he used to be like. He'd list virtually every one of our summer targets a few years back. I know they changed all the medical stuff a few years back as well, used to get a bit of info leak through from some sources there, but that all stopped. Edited 18 June 2018 by Babylon
