So how will ticket sales work for this?

Assuming it will work the same as it did at Elland Road:

1st priority: England travellers club

2nd priority: England supporters club

3rd priority: General sale.

We're not Leeds mate. The areas stood there last week are areas that stand every game.

But surely the England fans who normally stand will aim for the KOP?  It’s not like season ticket holders get priority it’s all through England supporters club. So I would like to think 75% of the KOP could stand if not 100%.

Let’s hope we do a better job of removing the ‘king power’ stuff than we did on our champions league debut ......surprised we didn’t get a fine as the fifa peeps tripped over the poor fellas summoned to do the last minute covering up!

Happy with this. Shame that the atmosphere will be nothing like that at Elland Road though

Sorry why won't it be?

Does it matter if we're Leeds or not? This is an England game and general England fans, and majority of England games(let me rephrase that majority of the ground are stood) which are classed as the home end so you'll see a large majority of the King Power stood for this.

General Leeds public were housed in the Cheese Block and just down the side of it both ways.

Did they have to cover stuff up. i'm sure I saw adverts around the top front of the stands that looked nothing like England type ones.

Hard to say. Regardless of positioning, the family tickets always go the quickest for England games simply because they so much cheaper.

Home end are the same now and you need a kid with you for family tickets?

I can only go by my experience at Elland Road but if it’s the same I found the cheapest tickets went to those willing to sign up as an England member (although the second priority is free to sign up to).

Plenty of tickets went to general sale but were priced at more like £40-£55 for an adult ticket rather than £25-£35 in the areas taken up by the first two bands.

I imagine it’ll be similar.

Well this is good news, I can get tickets for this but in the ‘wrong’ end.

Don’t worry, they’ll be holes all over their away end, if their cheese ? is anything to go by! ?

(Sorry)

Possibly not davie - I think we’re paying a few bob to get the game so I suppose we can promote the stadium brand

Not trying to have a dig but when you say majority of England fans stand and most will be stood where do you get this impression from? As when you look at Wembley it doesn’t seem that way?

And if you’re basing it on away games well then don’t all clubs stand away from home?

Thats why I suggested hopefully England could have enough fans to have a standing KOP at the KP

From being in the home end at England games myself. You can hardly see the first tier anyway.

Just because it was at Leeds do you honestly think everyone in that ground were Leeds fans? Far from it.

England have a priority sale like we do, Travel club members, supporters club then general sale. Leicester MIGHT get an allocation to sell and if we do I can't see it being a big one.

That’s good to hear. But where do you think England fans who do want to stand will go? The KOP?

England's friendly against Switzerland in September will be played at Leicester City's King Power Stadium.

The Switzerland friendly will kick off at 20:00 BST on Tuesday 11 September and will be England's second game following the World Cup.

They will face Spain in the Uefa Nations League at Wembley three days earlier, on Saturday 8 September.

England have played in Leicester once before, beating Serbia and Montenegro 2-1 in a friendly in 2003.

Switzerland - who are potential quarter-final opponents for England at the World Cup in Russia - have only beaten the Three Lions three times in 23 meetings, with five draws.

King Power Stadium To Host England vs. Switzerland
Leicester City Football Club is delighted to confirm that King Power Stadium will play host to an international friendly between England and Switzerland on Tuesday 11 September, 2018 (KO 8pm).

- England to play Switzerland at King Power Stadium on Tuesday 11 September
- The friendly match will be the second full England international to take place on Filbert Way
- The Three Lions visited in June 2003 in a 2-1 win over Serbia & Montenegro
- Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy and Harry Maguire are currently with England at the World Cup

Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions will visit Leicester as part of an important Autumn schedule that will see them get their inaugural UEFA Nations League campaign underway against Spain at Wembley Stadium.

After returning from the FIFA World Cup in Russia and taking on Spain, England will head for Leicester to face the Swiss in a game that could see City stars Jamie Vardy and Harry Maguire representing their country in familiar surroundings.

Leicester City Chief Executive Susan Whelan said: “It is a great honour for us to welcome the FA and the England team to our home at King Power Stadium and to have the opportunity to bring international football back to Leicester. The city has played host to some esteemed sporting events in recent years and we’re extremely proud to be able to continue that tradition this September.

“A senior England international is a truly prestigious occasion, made all the more powerful by its potential to inspire Leicester’s future sporting generations, captivated by the opportunity to see the famous Three Lions in their hometown. I am sure it will be an experience they never forget.”

Emile Heskey played for England at King Power Stadium in June 2003.

The match will be the second time that King Power Stadium has had the honour of hosting the England senior men’s team, after providing the venue for a 2-1 friendly victory over Serbia & Montenegro in June 2003.

The Three Lions team was managed by former Leicester City boss Sven-Göran Eriksson that day and included a place for fellow former Fox and Club legend Emile Heskey in the starting XI for a victorious England, who also had then LCFC goalkeeper Ian Walker on the bench.

Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard gave England the lead in the first half before Nenad Jestrović headed home an equaliser for the visitors. After the break however, it was Joe Cole who proved to be the matchwinner with an excellent free kick to make it 2-1.

Ticket information will be made available on TheFA.com in the coming weeks.

Key ticketing dates

England Supporters Travel Club priority access: 19-23 July
England Supporters Club priority access: 24-31 July
