Think King will go out on loan (hopefully with a permanent clause) and the club might look for a buyer for Mendy. If not can see both Mendy and James staying. Benalouane going would be a big result. I'd take a nominal £1million fee now just to move him along. Even a free transfer would be tempting.

I agree with you re. Simpson and Fuchs but can see Simpson going out on loan this window and Fuchs leaving in January with Elder stepping up to back up.

The club would almost certainly allow Benalouane a free transfer, he's 6th choice CB at best and will take another £2m out the club in wages. I would bet good money that he doesn't play a single minute of first team football this season.

Such a shame he did that interview with Sky when we were desperately short of cover for forwards.

That said he's responsible for some of my happiest moments supporting Leicester.

Stoke away (0-1), Norwich home (1-0), West Ham home (2-2), United home (5-3) and Spurs away (1-2) are five moments in particularly where I went nuts.

Cheers Leo. Hope you can come back for a halftime chat with Birch one day soon.

Undoubtedly he won't play a single minute this year, wouldn't bet against it - he's had chances across multiple periods under several managers during a few injury ladened spells and in cup/pre-seasons fixtures and has never really convinced or been outright frightening.

You might be right on the free transfer, cutting ties with the player is desirable for us so that would certainly help a move but it might be that we get lucky and somebody comes in for him. Fingers crossed.

It's surprising the lack of loan links of Simpson, King and Kaputska especially as none of them even made the 18 man squad against Fleetwood.

If that's not a statement of not wanted then what is? They'll be spending six months of their careers kicking their heels.

Shocked that Andy King can't get a club in the Championship, surely he doesn't want to be hanging about? Simpson comes with a reputation so might find it a bit harder but he again is unreal at that level for most teams.

There's a lot of movement to be done in the Championship tomorrow, a lot of clubs need one to leave before one comes in so I expect some movement, especially with regards to king.

I get the feeling Simmo is probably happy just kicking his heels, we're one injury away from him being back in the squad anyway (unless Johnson is ahead of him) whereas with Kingy there's a tonne of players in front of him.

I don’t think it’s much of a surprise all three will be on good money and as good as King and Simpson have  been for us they are not  currently brilliant and Kaputski just does look up to scratch,  so no surprise at all who is going to want to spend money on wages for someone not that good

Teams can ask us to pay some of their wages whilst they are on loan. So for example we could pay 50% of simpson's high wages and 25% of Kapustka's therefore saving ourselves some cash.

Think puel would rather play albrighton ahead of Simpson which makes him 4th choice at best. His contract runs out in 10 months so he needs to be playing football.

Doesn't strike me as someone who'd be too fussed if he never kicked a ball again to be honest.

Made a packet over the years, got a business of his own that's going well, getting older...

Yep I totally get that . I was just suggesting that it could be a problem as in honesty I don’t know all the facts .

apparently one player will go out on loan to OHL later today, no idea who.

Kaputska would be my guess but he did refuse to go on loan to a Serie B side so maybe not.

Probably someone who needs more time and experience to develop his game.

Which according to some people on here means it's Andy King...

ndukwu maybe although we're on the verge of signing another winger from Club brugge (ahmed touba). Although a centre-back might be more needed.

I heard reports of a new defensive midfielder being looked at, hes a wales international called Werdna Gink.

Could it be Darnell Johnson?  He did well in pre-season and was captaining the U23s, but missed both the U23 and Carabao Cup matches this week.
