Same here. With Slim seemingly going, I thought we might keep Leo as a 4th choice striker. Good luck to him though, he was a huge part of our survival and league winning seasons.

Thank you. Its not just with Leo. I'm  seeing it more and more with Wes, Simpson etc. Aka the legends. It's  ok saying a player is beyond their better years, but show some respect and appreciation for their contribution - no matter how small - for being a part of pulling off the impossible. Jeez, some people...

Hoped we’d get rid of another 5 before the end of August I  suspect 3 are likely 1 maybe and 1 we have no chance of shifting .

The 3 likely are Slim, King and Simpson all loaned out possible one sale out of the 3. 

The 1 possible is Fuchs blokes head is in America and it wouldn’t surprise me if Elder is to replace him as back up for Chillwell could even see contact cancelled mutual concent . 

The 1 no chance of shifting is Benny he’ll be on a good wage and he’s awefull so no one will want him and he’s happy to sit it out with the kids .

Fuchs' head is not gone - yes he wants to be in the US with his kids but he is still a good left back for us.

 

Benny is also not a bad player - sure, he's not of the standard we now need, but that's why we've replaced him. For his sake, hopefully he gets a move though.

Think King will go out on loan (hopefully with a permanent clause) and the club might look for a buyer for Mendy. If not can see both Mendy and James staying. Benalouane going would be a big result. I'd take a nominal £1million fee now just to move him along. Even a free transfer would be tempting.

 

I agree with you re. Simpson and Fuchs but can see Simpson going out on loan this window and Fuchs leaving in January with Elder stepping up to back up.
