Is it just me who thinks the penalty of missing 2 or even 3 games for a red card is way to harsh? You already play the rest of said game with 10 men and missing the next game I can understand but 3 games??? Unsure the penalty fits the crime

We will miss vardy. Unfortunately our other strikers haven't proved to be on his level. Ruthless

Depends on what they receive a red card for, in some situations it should be more, but it needs to be a deterrent to stop serious injury causing foul play. overall I feel 3 games is about right for most reds.

I guess a 3 games ban is supposed to act as a deterrent to avoid players making bad challenges or doing something reckless.

Didn't help when the 'red mist' descended as in Vardy's case.

Nothing wrong with a 3 game ban for a straight red. The only injustice to me is the dirty diving play acting barsteads only get a yellow.

Roll on the floor holding your face trying to get someone sent off it seems is ok. No its fecking cheating send the cvnts off.

I think Red Cards should be extended for crap officials too.   Why are they exempt from punishment for failing to do their jobs properly?

Jon Moss should have a season ban for all of his poor performances.

The officials would need a bigger substitutes bench than the two teams if that was the case.

His bank account needs investigating, too many blatantly wrong decisions and it’s not just us!

On the subject of Vardy, I'm quite interested in the sub-conscious and the way it finds outlets. For me, that was a whole World Cup of frustration in one angry swipe.

Or the thought of a whole season playing on scraps with this system?

That's not really a comment I would make without proof. You could be asking for trouble.

Pi55 poor ref yes but to accuse him of taking bribes is a little much.

If that were the case, I doubt he'd have penned a 4 year deal, seeing his career out with us.

Refs do get dropped to the championship for a week or two if their performances aren’t up to scratch. Has happened to Moss before (although not enough) and Mike Dean also a couple years ago stands out in my mind

I think they should get banned for the next game against that opposition. Why should Southampton benefit from a red card against Wolves. Same with yellow cards some random team gets an advantage because of fouls picked up against other teams made ch rather see a win bin.

It's a sliding scale isn't it. Second yellow and professional foul (e.g. pulling someone down whose through on goal) is a 1 match ban. Verbal dissent is a two match. Dangerous play and violent conduct is 3+ matches. It seems pretty fair to me.

One that provoked a bit of thought for me recently was a neutral saying that Amartey's handball at Man Utd resulting in a penalty for them is quite an injustice in the rules when you factor in what actually happened against what Man Utd got out of it. I can see the argument.

Not saying it wasn't a penalty at all, of course it was but there was a degree of bad luck in it and it effectively cost us the game from the off. The ruling is quite harsh.
