in our first season back it was always going to be a battle, even he admitted he made errors in his first PL season as a manager, but credit to him, he did change it up and we always were battling in games - all can ask for as supporters,
dont knock nigel too much - hes done a hell of a lot for our football club and built us from scratch after 10 years of turmoil

the fact puel has been here longer doesnt reaaaaally help his case though does it, 26 matches isnt exactly 3 or 4 its still well over half a season.
Puel actually averages 1.39 per game - just 0.01 better than he had at saints  -and was sacked:whistle:

I mean if you're playing that, the two samples sizes are different in quantify and not big enough to give a significant result of a difference. 

 

And look how Southampton ended up when they sacked him. He's completely changed our style and that's what the owners wanted to help us develop as a club.

lets just pretend every thing is fantastic then and forget all the boring games under him as manager, and all enjoy the fact weve won 5 in 19.
but yeah im a moron for my opinion. stats like that and perfromances under him arent exactly fantastic are they

so why do we have to completely change our style? for what reason - becoz other teams play from back then we have too?? We beat the league with our style?! 
Yes we have to improve and develop but not lose our whole identity which is what this bloke is doing!

Jesus man. Did you not watch any of the 16/17 or 17/18 season? 

Kante made our style work. Then at the same time loads of teams saw us as smaller club and attacked. We could then absorb and counter. They then realised how to counter us and just parked the bus and we couldn't break them down. 

We can't stay as a counter attacking team without improving our ball holding ability and creation of chances from open play. We still counter, we just also can now hold the ball and pass it around.

In the past 26 matches, since mid December, it's 1.04 ppg.

I don't think anyone wants a Holloway type buffoon and personally I don't care how dull his interviews are, but there does seem to be a problem in that he hasn't been accepted by so many fans.   I believe that many had made their minds up previous to his appointment because of what Southampton fans had said.

 

He has no connection or rapport with the public.  He is the Gordon Brown of football managers.

I quoted what his full PL record was with us. (34 games) 1.23ppg

I then quoted what his PL record has been since the great start. (the last 26 games) 1.04ppg

 

In another thread, I quoted his PL record over half a season. (the last 19 games) 1ppg

In another thread, I quoted his PL record over approx a third of the season. (the last 12 games) 0.83ppg [or if you want over the last 13 games, it's 1ppg]

 

I think I've been giving a wide view of our record and people can draw their own conclusion on the direction we've gone since Puel's flying start.

I got asked if i wanted a clown as manager or a football manager - wasn't me that initiated a Puel Out topic... just unfortunately seems my opnion - and others opinion isnt aloud - we should all be praising his wonderful record since hes been here and the briliiant football around the back, with class subs - amartey coming on when losing at home, or starting with no strikers, or keeping with morgan    its alllll good
