Not really. Shakey had 26 games, Puel has had 31. As time goes on, the more games you manage the lower your win % and PPG are likely to go unless you're a manager of an elite team.

So Puel has played 5 games more, but lost the same amount of games. He's won a single game more, which is an issue, but he has also picked up more draws in the main. To me that's no surprise for a team in transition - we're trying to change a lot, from defence to attack, and it's not clicking just yet. Give him 10 more games minimum, and then we'll be better able to judge.

 

That doesn't mean I'm not worried (and stats are stats blah blah), but you can SEE that our style is changing. You can SEE how our players are having to adapt, and problems are occurring. These things take time. Have patience.

 

On topic: I'm sure I've heard chants for Puel (positive ones), even if it's just "Claude Puel's blue and white army", so this isn't an issue for me.

Puel has managed more games so he's bound to have less.

Puel has appeared to be wank so far, but I'm giving him a little more time - no signs of genuine improvement by Christmas and he's got to go.

 

the damning thing for him is he now has a better squad than Pearson, Ranieri and Shakespeare all did and he's not producing a good team from it CURRENTLY.

You're saying he has a better squad at his disposal than the one that literally won the Premier League?

One could argue better squad but not team

 

A squad is a collection of individuals who coordinate their individual efforts. On the other hand, a team is a group of people who share a common team purpose and a number of challenging goals. Members of the team are mutually committed to the goals and to each other.

In terms of actual skill and quality players yes! However that was a much better TEAM with better tactics

So the players we have now are better than Kante, Mahrez and Drinkwater? Who are they?

Not Kante and Mahrez, but I think the players that have been brought in are more comfortable on the ball than what we had. But the style we played back then is completely different, our new guys would potentially be pants at how we used to play

People need to realise we have lost our two class players in Mahrez and Kante. Our squad is 'average' as they say, there's no difference in our squad and a side like Bournemouth.

Really can we drop this notion. If this has any truth then the people that want Pearson back want us relegated. Pearson is his own man and I don't see him doing what a player says. I'm not saying Cambiasso didn't have a say but really if the great escape was down to him why is he not our manager.

I saw Cambiasso and family taking a stroll through our glorious city center one Sunday afternoon, They looked lost and pitiful, I wanted to apologize for the state of it.

 

Regardless of if he could do the Job, there's more to life.
