Devonfox1884 Posted 9 May 2019 Posted 9 May 2019 As was probably expected when we signed him, you’d imagine he’ll be put out on loan next season - just not good enough for us.
Haywood_6 Posted 9 May 2019 Posted 9 May 2019 I actually think technically he is quite good. But mentally he seems weak and completely lost for confidence.

A combination of players across the team for more attacking intent so Maddison, Ricardo and Tielemans were the replacements for Mahrez. Ghezzal was simply to fill the numbers out wide. We didn’t need anymore wide right players. Clud chose Ghezzal over Albrighton for many games. Any other industry and given his age, quality, previous form, never commanded a fee previously and Cluds Monaco connections they’d be a fraud investigation
Blue ROI Posted 9 May 2019 Posted 9 May 2019 Hes a bit like Silva. Good on the ball but has no pace which at this level is brutally exposed. Hasn't started since Crystal Palace. Gray and Albrighton ahead of him. Bound to be moved on over the summer.
Steve Earle Posted 9 May 2019 Posted 9 May 2019 He’s not a footballer, is he? Has literally no chance of ever holding down a place at a PL club. Debates over Gray & Iheanacho I get. There’s surely no room for a debate over Ghezzal!
Stadt Posted 9 May 2019 Posted 9 May 2019 I feel a bit sorry for him. He works pretty hard and is technically accomplished, it's not his fault he was a panic buy, we overpaid and the manager that recommended him got the chop.

st albans fox Posted 9 May 2019 Posted 9 May 2019 Still like to see him in the no 10 role when madders isn’t available or later in a game we’re comfortable in
H.a.r.r.y Posted 9 May 2019 Posted 9 May 2019 You know there’s a problem when Grey gets in the side but you don’t

I was at Wembley when we played Spurs. I was with a pal who supports Tottenham and was very close to the touchline and to Ricardo and Ghezzal. I was surprised by how much close control the two of them showed under pressure and how well they were linking together. I recall also Ghezzal's controlled volley in the goal against Newport. I don't know if he will ever be a regular, but he's better than some of the comments here would indicate.
