Most don't take scarves in this weather. It'll be much better when it gets cold. I think it's great and it's ours.

Wasn’t scarf weather in May either lol

My only criticism would be they should extent it a few more seconds so that people start singing the second ‘the whole world smiles with you’ but carry it on without the track

...it is really strange that the stop it where they do, the second "...the whole world smiles with you", would just make it so much better!!!

They need to decide on a version and keep it. As in either one 'the whole world smiles with you' or two. Or do the fade thing that they did for Cardiff.

Never know whether to expect another one or not.

And scarfs in the kop would be great. Need the kop to stand out more and give the stadium more personality.

The silk scarves are easy all year round, I take mine every game. Wooly ones might be a bit warm.

Fans always took them in the warm and cold weather, tied round their wrists in the good old days.

Yeah, I was part of that generation. Also had one tied to the belt with scarf hanging down outside leg.

I had one with 11 blue and white bars in which me mam sewed the players names (in the correct order, the team didn't change much in those days, none of this squad rotation business). Got it nicked at Luton.

Just a thought but does the JB version actually have an additional line at the end?

I know the song does, but he managed to completely butcher the melody, so did he just not bother with the last line?:dunno:

Despite his butchery I do agree it is at the right speed for people to sing along to, so won't complain too much. I'd much rather have it as it is than not at all!

Or just carry on singing it anyway…

You're suggesting this is a more suitable version for everyone to sing along to? lol lol lol

This gets my vote. Half the crowd sing along why the other half does some freestyle scat singing.

It does make a difference. The crowd (most of, I think) like singing it and brings a collective togetherness. It's very loud and impressive.

The chorus sounds as good as any football club anthem.

But then they all sit down in silence, I'm not against the song but i cant see any evidence of it making any difference.

That's not any different to most stadiums. Same at Anfield.

I'm not quite understanding your point. Do you mean that it doesn't make any difference to the teams performance, or something else?

To anything.

I don't mind it being played but I don't like the version they're using.
