The worst for me is the fanfare when the players come out of the tunnel. Running out to that cheesy shite after a piss poor first half sounded very VERY sarcastic.

 

Something a little bit more visceral is needed. Would lend some energy.

I'm not one of the most vocal fans these days but yesterday I stood and proudly sung WYS in diffiance as much as anything else to those around me with puzzled expressions. It felt good belting that out. Only thing that did.

On Sunday, I stood with my hands over my ears whilst Sweet Anodyne was played in the hope that I might be picked up on one of those fan cam things. Daft, futile I know but had to do something.

Yep. They're missing the 3rd and final 'whole world smiles with you' which is when it should reach its loudest.

Ideally it should be Sweet Caroline (if they're going to persist with that), then straight into When You're Smiling, the Post Horn Gallop as the teams run out, then the video with the foxes eyes at the end. That would get it going I reckon..

...it has been sampled I would think, and cut, so it fits into a certain window prior to kick off!!!

If we played the full version, I am sure the crowd would mess it up as it is far too stylised. Get the original playing in a bigger window and it will work overtime.

....when a song is sung in unison in a packed stadia, it has a way of lifting and bringing forth emotions!!!

What you may have recently witnessed at the ground is a very short snippet of a song, that if sung together for a length of time would raise the atmosphere and sense of camaraderie.

 You are not getting the full experience, with what is presently being offered by the club.

They need to do a much quicker version aligned to the actual chant so people can go into "we're Leicester" at the end.  Far too slow and sedate at the moment.

Doesn't matter when you were born, it's all about the history of the club. I grew up with stories from my Dad and uncles about the City team and Cup finals of the 60's. WYS is from those days. It's important to know the past to move forward. All clubs have their history and identity. We should celebrate it.
