Not an ex player but ex manager still revered by many on here Big Nigel post match interview tonight he lambasts the standard of refereeing and says he’s ready to walk away from the sport altogether over his frustration with officiating. Says he came close to quitting last season over it

I’ll always remember that game away at Spurs which we somehow ended up losing 4-3 in the great escape season. His post match interview was a joy to behold, asked if he would go and speak to the referee he said “why?… he’s the most arrogant man I’ve ever met.” 🙌🏻

I do wonder if he'll be the same player, leader, presence at another club. He's got no credit in the bank there, too.

 

He's a great pro and will want to do well but it'll take a huge adjustment.
