CosbehFox Posted 21 September 2020 Share Posted 21 September 2020 (edited) Well according to a Italian newspaper, Boris went off to Italy for a long weekend last weekend. Rumoured to meet his Russian mate, Lebedev Given that Telegraph article where I was holding back the tears about how hard up he is currently, you’ll really couldn’t write it https://www.repubblica.it/esteri/2020/09/20/news/the_mystery_of_boris_johnson_s_trip_to_perugia_-267989244/ Edited 21 September 2020 by Cardiff_Fox

Telling a pack of lies about his movements would be an issue, though. It would presumably be easy for No. 10 to confirm: - Where he made his Friday Zoom call to Tory MPs - Where his kid was christened (now the christening has happened - privacy beforehand is understandable) - When & where the Monday Covid meeting took place .....official records should thereby confirm whether he's lying about flying off to Italy or whether the Italian airport/newspaper are lying or mistaken. Maybe the Twitter Right shouldn't read tweets by the Twitter Left and vice-versa, then there might be a whole lot less saliva - and bile - dripping about the world! So much poison and polarisation.....I'm glad that I avoid Twitter in favour of Foxes Talk. Turn up for the books, though, that a bloke known and twice sacked for lying should be caught telling the truth....next thing you know, he'll be producing that oven-ready Brexit deal. 1

If I didn't find it useful for work, I'd sack Twitter off. Such a nasty place these days.

Yeah almost as bad as that non-story where the Twitter right got their knickers in a twist when Starmer dared to buy some land for his mum on a farm! Mad ain't it?! Voll Blau Posted 22 September 2020 Share Posted 22 September 2020 Good conference speech from Sir Keir, but also fairly blunt. Wonder if it would have been toned down a bit if there had been an audience...

Innovindil Posted 22 September 2020 Share Posted 22 September 2020 This was the lefties tweet picked out by BBC for starmers conference. Some of the replies to this. Jesus. No wonder they got slapped at the last election. Starmer makes some decent points, trying to reach the voters he's lost, while dodging the problems of the day like he should, no point not letting the tories hang themselves after all and all he gets is "not muh Labour" from people who never should have been involved with the Labour Party in the first place. If you don't think the Labour Party should try to win elections, then you're obviously in the luxurious position of not actually needing them to be in government. Bully for her. Once again this cult-like faction desperate to always be in opposition, desperate to tar slogans and words with bad connotations like the extremes of each side like to do. Will bemoan the Conservatives winning the next election and the harm they may continue to bring upon the nation, but will be sitting in their bubble of smugness thinking that their views are superior because Labour "went blue."
