Kasper Schmeichel kept a clean sheet for Denmark in a 4-0 friendly win over the Faroe Islands as Leicester City's international representation began on Wednesday evening.

- Kasper Schmeichel plays from start to finish in Denmark’s 4-0 friendly win over the Faroe Islands
- Cengiz Ünder comes off the bench in Turkey's 3-3 friendly draw with Germany
- James Justin was an unused substitute as England Under-21s drew 3-3 with Andorra

City No.1 Schmeichel kicked-off the Club’s international representation on Wednesday evening after making his 56th senior appearance for Denmark in their convincing friendly victory over the Faroe Islands.

Strikes in the first period from Bologna winger Andreas Skov Olsen, Internazionale midfielder Christian Eriksen, Genk’s Joakim Mæhle and Parma striker Andreas Cornelius secured the success at the MCH Arena in Herning.

Schmeichel could next be in action on Sunday 11 October when Denmark head to Iceland for a UEFA Nations League Group 2 clash, before taking on England three days later in the same competition.

Later in the day, Cengiz Ünder came off the bench at half-time, while Çağlar Söyüncü did not feature, in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Germany at the RheinEnergieStadion.

The Turkey No.7 recovered the ball in injury time before Kenan Karaman scored a late equaliser in Cologne.

Paris Saint-Germain attacker Julian Draxler saw his opener cancelled out by Fenerbahçe’s Ozan Tufan before Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus and Alanysaspor's Efecan Karaca both scored to make it 2-2.

Benfica forward Gian-Luca Waldschmidt's 81st-minute effort then put Germany in front before Dusseldorf's Kenan Karaman netted an injury-time equaliser, with Ünder instrumental in the build-up after winning possession for his side in midfield.

Earlier in the day, City defender James Justin was unused from the bench as England Under-21s drew 3-3 with Andorra after goals from Everton’s Tom Davies, Brentford’s Josh Dasilva and Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah.

Aidy Boothroyd’s England have now won six and drawn one of their UEFA U21 European Championship qualifiers in Group 3 ahead of the 2021 tournament finals, which will be hosted in Hungary and Slovenia.

In six days’ time, Justin, who has featured in all four of City’s Premier League fixtures in 2020/21, could make his seventh appearance for England Under-21s when they face Turkey at Molineux Stadium in another U21 EURO qualifier.

Have a feeling Barnes will bag a goal tonight if he gets on the pitch

Just a shame my overwhelming feeling is that there's **** all chance he'll get put on the pitch tonight

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Barnes doesn’t even play in these games but all of the other debutants from the “bigger” clubs do.

he's starting tonight lol

I did read yesterday that Southgate had said he intended to give game time to the majority selected for the squad.

If you don't do it in these pointless friendlies, what's the point of even selecting those players.
