Nothing is more humbling than kneeing/bending down to load your food shopping delivery into your bags while the delivery driver watches on.

Was playing in garden with grandson. He throws  ball I think I can catch it, slip and fall against own elbow into ribs. Nothing broken just bruised but bloody uncomfortable especially when lying down trying to sleep. Cricket matches with grandson cancelled for the summer. Hence the phrase 'silly old sod'

I looked for an option to turn this "feature" off, but there doesn't appear to be one.

I'm at an age when I now get the frustration of modern technology. I remember getting annoyed when my parents couldn't grasp the concept of TV remotes or the early video recorders and I'd have to make trips over to set up recordings.

Now I don't get AI.

Even the air fryer seems a bit complex to set up for different things to finish cooking at the same time.

I don't get AI or the fixation with air fryers.

Big fan of air fryers, less cooking time than ovens and you don’t get that intense heat wave when you open the oven door.  I cook virtually everything now in the air fryer and microwave.

One thing to be aware is a lot of things marketed as AI aren't really AI at all.

I don't get the fixation with air fryers either. But can imagine if I got an air fryer I would be obsessed with it for 9 months, tell everyone that I have an air fryer and how great it is, then forget it ever existed.

This is why I very rarely buy shiny material things.

I think this would also be me. It would then end up in the same cupboard with the now unloved bread maker, food processor and slow cooker.

Perhaps if you're a working family with limited time they're beneficial and I understand they're cost effective.

I don't think we use the conventional oven enough to worry. Plus, I like the heat rush in winter lol

Air fryers have come on quite a lot since the overpriced and generally useless first gen Ninja.

I agree with the rest, especially the bread maker, the most unused and pointless kitchen gadget that suckers bought thinking they could make super-duper bread at home when what you actually got was a "loaf" the size of a house brick and just as hard and dry.

Yes, we had one.

I have just learnt that Sean Scannell and Scott Sinclair are still playing!

Weird how I noticed both footballers with alliterative names are still playing in short space of time within each other.

How did you know our first two new signings?

Once I got a bit of practice with recipes I did make some lovely bread. However, I did also make some which would've been perfect as cannon balls lol

Airports are ****ing tedious.  In transit in Singapore because no proper airlines fly direct from Perth to Jakarta.  Very very annoying.  I actually fly past Jakarta, hang around for three hours then fly back down to Jakarta again. Arse.  And it’s Sunday.

Did you not pack a parachute?

People training "hyrox"  sessions in the gym and trying to reserve 3 or 4 bits of kit at the same time whilst getting arsey if you start to use it

Omg yes. There’s a large group of definite inbreds in my gym that do ‘shark tank Sundays’ - mock hyrox that takes over half a floor of the gym. They move rowing machines and bikes outside . They’re often topless and congratulate each other as enthusiastically as arsenal fans after a 3-1 home win against qpr in February. It’s so cringe and I don’t know why they don’t see it. Prob coz of aforementioned inbreeding
