If one is driving down a road and there is a right and left turn available, one drives on without signalling.

So why in Dawkins' name do people signal right upon entering a roundabout with 3+ exits and then go straight ahead/take the 2nd exit (which is patently not a right turn)?

I've not been allowed to post in the General News thread for a long time and I tell thee, its a good job, because there are some disgusting views in there hiding behind supposedly articulate facades.

After an experienced head of HR/HR Manager, if anyone can PM me a recommendation or suitable recruiter. Thanks

@Finnegan has that cold, indifferent lack of human empathy, so typical of the Welsh, that you want in an HR manager.

Alternatively @Dr The Singh would happily take onboard the personal details of your female (and some say male (and even them)) staff.

Lastly, you could go for comrade @bovril who will find you lots of cheap Bulgarian workers, more than eager to do a better job than your average Brit.

First Opera tonight and loved it

My partner dragged me to one in London about five years ago and I got hooked. A totally captivating and unique experience.

Feels like a lot of fans absolutely hate their clubs at the moment. Booing at FT has become so common now

That is understandable. I'm talking about not actually enjoying watching any football. Going mostly off vibes but it feels like a lot of football fans in this country at least are baffled by the idea of sitting down and watching a game for pleasure and see it as some kind of performative football hipsterism.

Nearly knocked a lad out at six-a-side tonight after he ran into my shoulder. Floored him and his jaw's struggling.

Won the ball fairly and no aggro after as it was his fault, but feel pretty nails right now, not gonna lie.

I used to play against a lad that had only half of his left arm... it used to swing around like nobodies business, one slap of that to the face was enough to make sure i checked when i tackled him

As a classically trained musician, it's a remarkable art form. The set design, construction, costuming is a whole separate world, never mind the world's best vocalists who can sing unamplified for hours, in front of thousands.

We attend several symphony concerts each year. Every time I go with my wife, friends, etc, they always walk away in awe. To see someone moved to tears, simply because of an aural experience, it's remarkable.

Nevill Holt, just up the road from Medbourne, does at least one every summer. The standard is excellent, parking's a doddle (a nearby field), but it is very expensive. The interval is usually 90 minutes long, so most folk picnic in the grounds. I guess it's Leicestershire's answer to Glyndebourne or Garsington.
