The supermoon last night was, of course, a full moon. If you want to keep track of the moon's phases, Amazon has some incredibly inaccurate moon phase clocks. The moon appears full every 29 days, 12 hours and 44 minutes. But the crappy Amazon ones rotate once every 29.5 days, so they're 44 minutes fast every month! I certainly wouldn't want a watch or clock as inaccurate as that. I spotted recently that 29 days, 12 hours and 45 minutes = 29.53125 days =  (1/2)x(3/2)x(5/2)x(7/2)x(9/2) days, which can be used to produce a gear train suitable for making a moon phase clock accurate to within 1 minute per lunar cycle.

Well now I'm intrigued...but perhaps that was your wicked plan all along.

Nah sorry just feeling down about work that's all. Dunno why I wrote it maybe thinking it would change things plus might even be in the wrong place.

I reckon one of the points of this thread is that you really can post pretty much anything random that's on your mind.

Sorry to hear about work, perhaps posting here wouldn't have changed things in practical terms but sometimes getting things off your chest helps and talking to others can provide some perspective.

Lad riding an e-scooter got pulled over right in front of my house tonight, presumably for being on the road (even though you’re not supposed to have them on the path either). Anyway, eventually there were 3 police cars and 4 police officers on the scene despite the lad just getting a bit of a ticking off and a search. A bit excessive don’t you think for something that is pretty commonplace nowadays?

We all feel like that sometimes, stuff can just feel relentless.  It does take courage to share that sort of thing.

I think it should be made law that police on a shout should have to tell you where they’re going in a hurry so you can decide if you want to go watch.

LinkedIn really does my head in these days - it's literally facebook.

I can’t believe LinkedIn is 20 years old now.

Think I joined in 2006 and it used to be ok back in the day.

I’ve unfollowed the majority of my connections now but my timeline is still full of crap.
The only decent thing about LI for me is occasionally ex clients get in touch after years in the wilderness.

I never post on it anymore.
