When I was at primary school, I had to do a recorder concert on stage. But didn't know how to play the recorder.

So I stood there and just moved my fingers over the holes and hoped nobody noticed.

That's Luke Thomas that is. But him having had 8 years of elite recorder lessons. And paid millions to play the recorder.

Luke Thomas at parties now after 8yrs of elite recorder lessons.

Some of the criticism is valid, just when I think of all the times he got bullied off the ball (by lighter opponents).

But can you get your head around the fact that he's still second in assists this season, behind Fatawu?

That should be the job of our wingers or attacking midfielders. They are letting Luke down to some extent. He's the scapegoat for their failures.

He’s definitely shit, no question, but I don’t think he’s quite as shit as people are claiming.

Can you remember any one episode of him not being shit?

It a toss up between him and Ryan McGivern for the worst left back I’ve seen play for the club. The reality is that he won the lottery to even get a professional contract, and won it again when the Rudkin handed him a pay rise for a further 4 years.

Rudkin in hard nosed contract negotiating mode

He is a League 2 level player, maybe League 1 at a stretch... but would you want him as our starting LB even if we go down? I wouldn't. Truly baffling how he wasn't sold/released years ago and playing in the lower leagues now.

I think he is garbage and has made more assists for the opposition than for us.

I’m not sure where he will find his level to be honest. Obviously he has a level of technical ability to have get where he is. That technical ability may well be too good for League 2 or even League 1. But the other side is mental and physical strength. Whilst he may be technically superior dropping down the leagues, would that balance out by him not being equipped to against lower league players who may be more physical with him?

I’m not saying it is or isn’t. The point was surely clear, I am suggesting that by the nature of him being very physically weak and mentally fragile, any benefits of being more technically superior if he dropped down the leagues would be offset by him being bullied essentially.

I’ve heard from a very good source he’s got a very rare contract where he only gets paid if he doesn’t play

Rudkin thought he was being a visionary

This lad should never play first team football again. Oh wait. Rudkin gave him a new 4 year deal. If that doesn't tell you who the problem is I don't know what will.

Genuinely think he's one of the worst footballers I've ever seen. Not even one of the worst defenders, the worst footballers.

You could pick 20 randoms out of the crowd and they wouldn't do the stupid things this idiot does. It's disgusting he gets a wage in this industry.
