After a terrible start too.  Can't see us beating the aussies though.

We need to play at our best & Aus need an off day tbh, otherwise you're probably right.

Don't always agree with him but Jonathan Liew has nailed the current England set-up in the Guardian.

What has he said ?

Main gist of it was that the regime is treating the public with contempt, as the ECB has done for the past two decades.

I'd agree that the ECB and their deals with ticketing and access to view Test matches on tv really has shown contempt for the public in the last couple of decades.

Regarding the team and regime itself, though, while there's legit criticism to be made based on recent performances, I'm hearing far too many talking heads going on about it either without suggesting an explicit way to get the team winning again or suggesting a method that was the reason the England team changed things up in the first place (because it really wasn't working). Neither of those viewpoints are helpful and really just sound like negative self-gratification rather than actually wanting the side to do better.

Probably a fair point. Football is probably worse. Ridiculous ko times, teams & fans travelling 200+ miles midweek, often for tv viewing. We are treated as customers.

Our own wonderkid out shining theirs. That utter nonsense run up from bishnoi cost him 3 no balls and two sixes, and that over killed them when they were on top. Hopefully the next game we can actually get some home fans in.

Well played Bethell  after a tough test series.

There were plenty of home fans. And don’t knock the Indian support. They light up every stadium they fill.

Wasn't knocking it at all, was actually knocking the England fans for not turning up in higher numbers. Love India and the IPL, just wish we had a bigger support.

Except when the opposition score a boundary or take a wicket (then it sounds like my TV is muted) or when a loss looks imminent (then it looks like a fire drill).

Ticket prices need looking at. Fans being priced out.
