Pathetic time wasting from England.

Should be out batting by now. Could Crawley and Duckett walk any slower??

Love the feistiness between the teams. Tomorrow morning will be tasty!

It’s within the rules, and Crawley may think he’s been clever, but instead of coming out with confidence he’s sent the strongest of messages that he was bricking it and desperate to avoid facing a ball if at all possible. Why didn’t he just ask Stokes to send in a night watchman?

Sets things up for tomorrow.

Brilliantly. Tomorrow should be another great day of Test cricket - just enough balance between bat and ball to keep this a lot more interesting than Edgbaston.

I disagree and actually think the gamesmanship showed good steel from our openers. Crawley quite happy to go out and play an over, but ensured that it was maximum one over in what were the hardest conditions to bat in the whole day, physically and mentally. As the commentators pointed out, avoided an instance such as the one before lunch in the last test, where allowing India to squeeze in an extra over before lunch yielded a wicket.

Not Crawley's biggest fan, and the over rates in this test have been nothing short of a disgrace, but I didn't mind that. If the shoe was on the other foot, Rahul and Jaiswal would have been doing exactly the same.

Hopefully will get a decent total tomorrow and see if they’ve got the balls to go for it lol

Don't think we'd have a choice!

With our bowling attack you’d have a good chance

Not as bad as you make out to be fair, especially with a new ball.

Archer is frightening in full flight! Woakes on a Lords pitch equally so because of how he gets the ball to move.

I don't think Crawley should ever play test cricket again.Absolute embarrassment of a player.

It's either feast or famine (more often the latter). Pope is similar too. I think Bethell has huge potential to bat anywhere really.

I don't really follow county cricket closely, are there any potential openers on the horizon, or is it a case of going back to someone like Sibley etc ?

Both teams knew exactly what they were doing at the end there, and it was great to watch. If it was Gill and Jaiswal there doing the same I think we'd have seen the same from Stokes and Co. It's the heat of the moment, and the heat of the whole day probably all coming to the fore.

Wouldn't surprise me if it just emphasises the respect both teams have for each other and knowing how good each side is. After all they were level after 3 days!

Well they weren’t level. England were 2 ahead

I wonder if he'd be better down the order, just to see. He plays to loose for my liking. It seems harder to get out of this England side than into it !

Particularly if you play for the county the boss of the ECB spent his career at .
