Or have a yellow and red card system. 2 yellow offences and you're off for the rest of the game irrespective of the state of play.

 

Of course all this could be avoided if the umpires upheld the laws of the game.

KL Rahul always looks so unflustered batting in England. Was brilliant in 2021 and looks top class this series too. Terrific player.

 

Astonishes me that he averages <35 in test cricket!

Stokes is just different. It's why averages don't tell the full story in cricket. His ability to deliver when it matters is second to none.

England are obviously missing Anderson & Broad, which side wouldn't ? We are a side in transition. Archer coming back, Wood not ready just yet, so not all doom & gloom.

On a side note, England wanted flat, lifeless wickets to help the 'Bazball' philosophy.

India have played so well this morning, but that's crazy cricket to rush some to a personal milestone.

 

Games can turn on such incidents, brainless, suicide cricket.

Completely daft single to take for the sake of trying to get Rahul through to 100 before lunch. Why? They were absolutely cruising, barely a chance all morning.

 

Great throw down by Stokes but it's brainless cricket to give him the opportunity. Good for England, mind.

There's probably a similar amount just after lunch. First ball, nerves and pressure. Perhaps not as much, but takes it all away if he was to get it before lunch.
