A bit of common sense in the line up, formation and tactics?

What team would you put out then? What players do you think we have available that would change this line up?

Have a look at the bench. And did we need to play that team against Liverpool last week?

You mean players like Vardy, Ndidi, and Castagne who aren't fit enough to start?

Love people giving Rodgers stick for this game. Look at our squad, look at theirs… What are you expecting today?

For us to atleast keep it tight lol not let them just casually walk through us as and when they please. They haven't been  trying since about the 15th minute.

Guys. Have you seen the back four he's got to put out? Against probably the best team in the world.

What are you expecting?

This particular kind of perspective doesn't make sense to some though.

Would the fans accept not going all out to win a cup?

This is poor and naive from Rodgers. He seemed as though he had turned a corner at the start of last season in so much as he was prepared to adopt a more pragmatic style when required. This would have been the right time to go down that route again so god knows why we’ve been so open

League Cup was a realistic trophy. We should have won that game. Winning the trophy means a route in to the Europa League. If we qualified it wouldn't be questioned. We suffered 3 injuries in that game.

So yes, we did need to play it. Had we played a weak(er) squad he'd have been questioned too.

I hope top tells Brendan I will back you, but if it gets really bad then do the honourable thing and walk .  Does Brendan have honour ? We will find out soon

He won't walk in a month of Sundays.

Someone simply has to take one for the team and run onto the pitch to snatch that note pad.

The guy hasn't learnt a single thing since he's been with us so what on earth can he be writing?

I have to know.

Not Vestergaard 😂, I get not playing Nelson here but why not just give Benko a game

Starting with a defensive midfielder would have been nice, at least try and give that second string defence some sort of protection.

The line up he has chosen today is criminal.

Benko not even being on the bench probably tells you everything you need to know about his current situation at the club.

Even then he probably has covid or is injured again.

Those people asking for Benkovic really need to get over it lol

He's quite clearly not good enough.

Seriously?

Our defence has components of the Southampton team that lost 0-9 to us... and you expect what exactly?

There's people on here who would defend him taking us into the championship.

That's quite clearly bollocks isn't it.

He 100% made the right decision picking a decent team against them, but then he made 100% the wrong decision taking our best player off and changing the formation, essentially limiting us to defensive football for the remaining part of the game.

I would overlook today if we managed the win against Liverpool, but now we've just embarrassed ourselves twice essentially.
