How much have we earned 20/21 PL/EL/FA/TV

It's a rough guess type topic but in a year when FFP is going to be relaxed then how far can we push on in cash terms on players while factoring in our own position and players leaving to enhance the squad as per BR's remarks and fans thoughts.

 

What will the FA cup prize money round by round and TV money be?, the PL standings position prize fee together with an estimated TV money monies?, and the EL adventure and TV fees?

I saw segment on a sports program that Chelsea will greatly benefit financially with a place in the CL than Leicester City does by winning the FA Cup.

EL all in it's about 17m according to Swish Ramble a football finance blogger including TV etc

 

FA CUP prize money was less this year around 4m

Absolutely. The prize money from the FA Cup is a pittance, really. I think it was £2m not long ago. Probably a bit more now.

 

The CL is where the big money is. I think you get about the same prize money for winning a single game in the CL group stage as you do for winning the FA Cup final.

I heard £30 million a year, but that is in no way confirmed.

Maybe so but what odds of winning a single game as 4th seed? Although looking at the coefficient if we had qualified we could have just about ended up pot 3, but realistically if we had qualified we would end up with a really tough group and feasibly not win a single game.

 

Whereas we could end up pot 1 in the Europa league, most likely pot 2, build our coefficient for when we do qualify for the CL we get a group we can do well in.

 

Interesting to see how far we would need to go in the EL to get the same money as finishing bottom of the CL group.

Win it I would think. We could put all of our eggs in that basket like arsenal did this season. Winning the EL means a pot 1 seeding for the following seasons CL ....

you get 15 mill participation money then with coefficient and TV money , we'd end up with around 30 mill total just for qualifying for the group stages.

Across the squad, I would think that the fa cup win has cost the club more than it earned for this very reason.

I seem to remember the squad splitting £600000 between them after winning the 1997 League Cup.That was quite a considerable amount back then.Half a Steve Guppy in fact.

The transfer fee add ons would be more onerous. Most contracts would likely have a prem league/fa cup payment to the selling club (on that subject we will get something this weekend when either ben or riyad win a CL)

Worth bearing in mind from last year's accounts it didn't include all the prize money from the Premier league.

 

Weve never seen a set of accounts with a 5th place finish on but it's worth an 15m.

A portion is equal, and another portion is merit based.

I think the table looks a bit crude.  of course this season is unique as all games will have been televised. So maybe for once season only, that’s how it is.
