Pretty much identical goals.

Apparently Sunderland have sold 20k season tickets for next year, very impressive when it could be a fifth year in League One.

Both teams have been awful for both games.  If they go up they'll need to bring in much more quality to survive in the championship.

Sunderland have a decent manager who could keep them in the championship with a bit of investment.

"It is the battle of giants. The footballing republics of Sheffield and Sunderland rising up to salute their Gods. Footballing royalty is here tonight- the King and Queen of League One. Wembley awaits the victor, despair for the loser. No time for fear, no time to regrets. It is all on the line tonight. IT IS THEIR TIME TO STEP ON THEIR TOES AND TAP THEM ON THE SHOULDER AND SAY WE ARE HERE!"

Lovely stuff from Gary Weaver.

Poundshop Peter Drury.

It is a dodgy situation but are they any actual rules about what side you have to field?

Probably depends on who you are and what your situation is .

Scunthorpe will probably say they are down and were just giving young players some experience ( Our fans hope we do the same in the next 3 games)

Clarke has been a good outlet for Sunderland.

Poor tracking from Sheffield Wednesday.

I lost any taste for SAFC coming back up when it was revealed that the Stu Donald - Charlie Methven group still own the majority of the club, albeit now with a Swiss (?) sugar daddy providing funds.

Not that Chansiri is any better.

Wycombe please.

That’s correct. Our support has always been superb - 30,000+ average this season.

Every time Iv been to Sunderland or spoke to someone from there, they seem decent lads tbf, on this I hope they go up 🤣

Yeah Sunderland have suffered enough. I will not begrudge them having something to cheer about if they go up, especially with Newcastle becoming even more insufferable.

Same with Newcastle, people from the north east tend to be decent types

(Apart from the ones who are constantly looking for a fight but you get those everywhere)

So how long will he last here then ?!

Owners will expect a promotion push even if fans aren’t so confident.

Yeah, you're a bigger club but he's gambling if he moves surely. Personally I'd oversee the League One season with Forest Green.

John Eustace is a blast from the past though, didn't realise he was in the running to be returning to you lot as manager.

Forest Green have been poor in recent months and just fell over the line. If that form continues next season he could probably end up being sacked anyway, so probably sees it as a chance he might not get again.

Tbf it's nothing new a side getting promoted then having a couple of strange results. Look at Fulham.

Two of Forest Green's three fixtures since promotion have been tough (Swindon A, Mansfield A). Their home result against Harrogate, in between, was poor.

Probably just because he played for us once .

Once?  I wonder if he'll get more games than that as manager?

Sorry he actually made about 160 appearances in 2 spells .

I meant he was probably linked due to being an ex player .
