About time Sunderland got out of league 1, hard to dislike them really. Decent set of fans from my experience.

The away game there in our survival season we found ourselves in this proper shithole of a pub. The smoking area perimeter walls had glass stuck to the tops to prevent people getting in (or out maybe)

The Sunderland fans in there were brilliant and very welcoming.

So much so that the following season towards the end of April we went back there again. Despite being in a relegation battle of their own most of the fans in there were coming up to us telling us how they wanted Sunderland to lose so we could go on and win the league.

Great bunch. Hope they get back to the PL pronto

A really good game where both sides went for a win, miles more entertaining than the crap served up by Cheatski and Livarpool last week.

Good luck to Akinfenwa with whatever's next.

Don’t see the hype about him. He’s got muscles and walks around saying DENCH like it’s 2013

I don't think it's hype, it's just the fact that everyone who knows him says he lights up the room with his positive energy.

He doesn't have a bad word to say about anybody and his enthusiasm is infectious.

He's just an all round decent human being IMO and I imagine he'll be successful at whatever he puts his hand to next.

His positive personality reminds me a bit of Christian Fuchs.

I mean I don’t know the chap that well. I guess being happy and positive should be a good thing

Two excellent headed goals within five minutes for Port Vale ... they are looking good to go up.

A good watch.

What kind of idiot does that, on a yellow, two goals down in a final at Wembley?

Completely ends the day for his side and their supporters.  Just unforgivable.

Just switched on and they showed the replay of the 2 challenges. Wtf is he doing he has let everyone at the club down. Absolute moron.

If you could write a miserable day at Wembley Mansfields would be it. Concede two poor goals in 30 minutes, after missing a huge chance. Get a player sent off by min 35 then get an absolute gift of an open goal after a keeper makes a howler and find a way to miss it

Good to see a club with brilliant owners achieving success over a club with a total twerp of an owner

Seems like they have a long term plan and vision at Vale - guess that can change quickly but least there is support for the manager and the owner is a genuine fan.

Mind you Mansfield didn't help themselves today.

Can confirm he's one of the nicest people in football. His hugs are Premier League.
