To be honest i didn't notice it at the Wolves game and tonite thought it was just a UEFA thing.......what the hell is it?(The goal music)

The fact that Napoli fans were repeatedly singing it to take the piss shouldn't go unnoticed by the club. It will though. It epitomises everything that is so awful about the bland and insipid commercial homogenisation of the game. Tasteless and tacky. I've rarely been so embarrassed at a match, (which is saying something given the length of time I've supported LCFC). 

 

I don't particularly like Kasabian, but it's the only time I've really liked the idea of goal music because it was actually quite subtle - identifiable with the city and became synonymous with the 15/16 title year.

I feel similar. It’s really stupid how annoyed it makes me really. 

I suppose it’s because I’m a romantic, but the unadulterated sound of a crowd after a goal is one of the great sounds of sport.

 

The issue is there are so many people who say “I don’t like it, but…”

 

I don’t like it, but we’ve scored a goal. I don’t like it, but it could be a worse tune. I don’t like it, but we won the league. I don’t like it, but the club are good at recruitment so who cares. Or back when we had Kasabian, I don’t like it but at least the band is from Leicester (!)

 

And fair enough. There are many worse things in the world to moan about. 
 

But how about “I don’t like it, and I think the club should therefore get rid of it”

 

As you say though, what can we do? I mean, who actually is making the decisions on this stuff?

I was convinced along with everyone else that there was no VAR on the Daka 'goal' because of the goal music.

 

Please get rid of it.
