Yeah because his career is done now at his highest level, not really that difficult to understand. I’m not talking about Iheanacho rn, I’m saying in his ‘pomp’

He is now 28.

His pomp was probably in his teens at Man City.

It’s literally like saying Lineker wouldn’t get into a top level team now haha

Worse than Daka bad?

Worse than Nacho bad?

Akinbiyi was a goal every every five games.

Daka / Iheanacho is / was every four games.

When you look at Alexander Isak at Newcastle, he is everything I hoped Daka would be for us. They have similar attributes. Unfortunately for us he has been no where near the required level.

He will simply be another one (in a long and growing list), who will never get a contract anywhere near as good as he has with us. For this reason he will be with us until the very last day of that long and expensive contract.
He may get a loan here and there (see Soumare) or he may just generally stay and rot until his final months wages (see Ihenacho).

Its a well trodden path for bang average players on super stars wages, for this the blame lies at the door of the people who hand out these contracts.

Rumours say we have offered him to AS Monaco, any truth?

I have a soft spot for him but to offload some of his £75k per week and maybe even some fee would be brilliant

FM that would be too good

Seems a lovely lad but FM he can't hit a donkeys arse with a banjo

We'd need to sell him (which it might surprise people I'm not opposed to doing, haha) for something in the region of 7m this January to avoid making a loss in PSR that we almost certainly can't afford to.

Nobody is buying him for that when he's scored 4 league goals in the last 12 months and dropped in to the 6th percentile for G/90 in the last 365 days (whilst remaining in the 88th percentile for xG/90, which is... hideous.)

The only way he leaves the club this month is on loan and I'd be very surprised if we do that without buying which, again, we probably can't do without selling and the cycle goes on.

We've probably got more chance of selling Cannon this month than Daka.

Salzburg paid 250,000 euros for him and sold him to us for 30 million. His fair price today is probably 5 million, if that, just for the fact that he played in PL. What a blunder.

Really hope he's not injured again

With all his limitations, we are massively improved with him up top over Vards.

That said, the Dutchman will drop him anyways, so I guess the injury is academic

You obviously see things in him that I've never seen. And don't see things in Vardy that I do.

Mate Vards went two seasons ago

We get flashes. But in a relegation fight, you need a player that can do the hard running more than we need a player winding up the opposition fans.

He's the GOAT. But it's over.

He's still a heck of a lot closer to a solution than Daka is.

I actually thought Daka didn’t offer much different to Vardy. They’re both isolated

Maybe even worth going two up top, daka to do the leg work pulling defenders around, BEK threading balls through the gaps to Vardy.

Won't happen though

Vardy the better finisher, Daka the more difficult to mark as he actually runs the channels and puts himself about. Neither anywhere near good enough, though.

Are you getting Vardy and Daka mixed up?

He would be great in a 2 striker system.  He's not going to get that with us and most likely anywhere else in the Prem.

Great is a bit to much, probably better but not sure he will ever be great.

Thought he was poor today and should have come off earlier. Like to see the stats of how many goal attempts he had. However he’s great at running around. I would have given Mavididi a run up front.

No, I'm not..why?

Ones black. Ones white. Ones fast, ones slow. One can run hard for 90 mins. One can't.

Daka run hard for 90 mins ? Come on now.

Yeah the guy can run the channels but whenever he gets the ball he just gets out-muscled by defenders or plays a wayward pass, he’s no goal threat whatsoever.

tbh this system we play doesn’t suit either Daka or JV - but guess what, we’ll see exactly the same next weekend and get the same outcome
