Filbert Fireworks Posted 8 November 2025 Posted 8 November 2025 He's average at everything apart from actually shooting which he is just atrocious at. He does work hard though which is slightly endearing at the moment. A goal would do him so much good. Given the two other options just start him for a good run of games and see if he can get some confidence. 1
Tommy Fresh Posted 8 November 2025 Posted 8 November 2025 You know exactly what will happen, he'll finally find some form and then go off to AFCON 1 1
Popular Post Leeds Fox Posted 9 November 2025 Popular Post Posted 9 November 2025 We’re at the point I want him to play Daka because he’s one of the only players I don’t actively dislike. He’s not very good, but he’s likeable. Get him in!!! 6

damolcfc Posted 9 November 2025 Posted 9 November 2025 Now we go out wide. Start feeding the deadlydak 😜 1
Gamble92 Posted 9 November 2025 Posted 9 November 2025 He is our only option that gives the opposition something to think about in transition. I like Ayew but my Nan goes up the stairs quicker and she's 97 and pisses herself everyday 4
Popular Post Sly Posted 9 November 2025 Popular Post Posted 9 November 2025 I do wonder what a goal would do for his confidence. He does a lot right if you watch him and I know I’ve maybe called for him to play more than others but I genuinely believe he is the best of our forwards. I think when he leaves, he could re-ignite himself, similar to how Perez did. 6
broughtonblue Posted 9 November 2025 Posted 9 November 2025 Decent yesterday, just no one in midfield to thread a ball through to use his pace 1 on 1 with defenders

No goals in almost a season now says it all. Having said that do the team not understand what his attribute is. You can see him make runs but no one slips him in. I want him to score and we need him to because we have little else at the moment. He needs confidence and that will only come with goals.
sm1 Posted 9 November 2025 Posted 9 November 2025 2 things come to mind from that Spartak game. He had Nacho as a 2nd striker and balls played into space for him to run onto. We always seem to play balls to his feet and we all know he's not a target man. 1
FoxesTez Posted 9 November 2025 Posted 9 November 2025 He played well yesterday. He’s the best striker for us at the current moment (youth aside). He’s always going to struggle as a lone striker, but he may be better with Bobby as a 10.
Chelmofox Posted 9 November 2025 Posted 9 November 2025 I've always felt he was too 'nice', and i think playing 2nd fiddle to Vardy is something that has always weighed down on him. Yesterday i saw him visibly annoyed that he didnt get the ball played to him when he was in excellent positions. Need to see more of that from him. Get fire in is belly. Was his best game for a while, plus a goal contribution. Long way from being 'good', but played his part and made the defence work.

Something is better than nothing at this stage, being a part of the goal should boost anyone’s confidence. At least he doesn’t actively shut down an attack like Ayew. Hopefully our next manager will have some sort of clue with tactics that play to strengths. Get rid of the slow play out the back from JV, let JJ drive quickly to find the space to thread the ball for runners. Daka, Mav, Monga and Fatawu are all good enough to run onto a ball and attempt a shot, we don’t need them on the halfway line trying to skin everyone.
Lloyd90 Posted 9 November 2025 Posted 9 November 2025 When players are in there last year of contract they always tend to put more effort in and play there best football. the fact we are still seeing next to nothing from him is pretty concerning for all involved. will be interesting to see what his next club will be - my guess would be back in Austria on about £3,000 per week.

Looks interesting, very little substance and will be gone quickly Ayew - Ebola. Incapacitating and last did anything of note a decade ago Daka - Shark attack. Will give it a go, usually gives up after one chance 1
Collymore Posted 9 November 2025 Posted 9 November 2025 Possibly one of the best forwards I've ever seen closing down a keeper, and that's even witnessing prime Vardy. He nearly stole it twice yesterday. You could tell that keeper had never come across a press like Daka's. He comes around on the blind side like a bullet. Just a shame he can't do anything else because if he could score goals and have that press in his game he'd be that striker we always dream he'd become. 1
Shane Posted 9 November 2025 Posted 9 November 2025 (edited) 13 hours ago, Analysethis said: Whatever happened to Deadly Daka?!! Notice how for every goal he’s sitting on the last defender. He’d have probably scored more over the years if he just focused on running in behind. But instead our managers contributed to his demise by asking him to become a possession merchant and drop deep to link the play. You have to play to a players strengths and I don’t think any of our managers ever did that with Patson. Now he’s a busted flush, but still our best option at the moment. Leave the link up play to the number 10 and let Patson occupy the last defender and lead the press. Edited 9 November 2025 by Shane 2

BKLFox Posted 9 November 2025 Posted 9 November 2025 Could have had 2 fairly simple tap-ins yesterday had both Fatawu and James looked up instead of going themselves. James 1 would have been very simple as both defenders and keeper went into him (JJ)leaving an open goal for Daka. Fatawu needs to use this as a weapon, he cuts in so often that defenders expect the shot so rush to cover him, if he switches on he could do this a few times drawing the same reaction then on the odd occasion just poke it across goal instead of shooting, Daka is more likely to be in the right position than Ayew or Carranza but we will also have James, Ramsey, Page, BDCR who ever is playing also coming in from the edge. He can’t keep wasting the opportunities just to get a wonder goal 1 in every 10 shots.
