Yeah stuttered runs ups are shit. I know it didn’t always work but I quite liked how Vardy just uses to smash it and hope for the best!

Remember Paul Gallagher back in the day? Turned his back before the run up. I don’t think I could deal with that now lol

Don’t think he ever missed one either, out best penalty taker by a mile.

Harsh and unnecessary

Never known so many supporters quick to defend such a diabolical signing, you cant even call him a footballer more just a poor participant on 75k a week, major reason for our clubs downfall, the whole duration he’s been at the club it’s felt like having a minor infection I want to just shrug off.

There’s actually a good player in there and if he’d have left us 3/4 years ago he’d be thriving at a europa league level Turkish or Portuguese team but we’ve completely ruined him tho he always had choice in the matter I guess.

I see this.

Finishing is a skill and he did it for fun in Austria. If you go up a level, sure you end up against better keepers and it could be hard to get the chances with better defenders. But how do you explain some of the inexplicable misses where neither the opposing defence or keeper are the factor? Crushed mentality and literally no confidence.

But as you say, all players have a choice. It gets made out that they get stuck here because nobody can pay their wages. No, they stay here because they won’t drop their wages. If a player like Daka had wanted to get out and reignite his career, he could have instructed his agent to negotiate a move on a lower wage. I don’t buy the short career stuff. Not at this level, lower leagues yes. I don’t pretend to know the tax situation around these levels of pay but I reckon dropping from £75k to a measly £40k or even less, would still set anybody up for life.

I noticed Coventry had a penalty which kind of went under the keeper .

Maybe sums up the sort of thing that happens when you are in different league positions.

Another day the kick goes in off the post .

Surprised he took it though tbh.

Just saw the highlights, well taken penalty hard into the corner very good save by the keeper.

All you can ask if anyone taking a penalty is they pick a corner and hit it hard and hit the target not like Ayew earlier in the season hitting the post.

I've not defended him. Hes a terrible footballer. But for someone to say "I hate this tw@t" is just harsh and unnecessary in my opinion. He got signed by us. He got offered the contract by us. Hes not going to turn around and go, sorry lads im not very good, so I'll just cancel my contract and be off. Nobody would ever do that. It hasn't worked for him here at all, but if people want to talk about "hatred" and "tw@ts" they should look at the people further up who a. Sanctioned signings like this and

B. Didn't think it might be a good idea for us to sign an actual striker last summer or even in January, rather than loaning some kid from Chelsea whos clearly not good enough.

Despite what some might say or think on here, Daka will not have caused our relegation if we go down. Rudkin and Top are responsible for at least 6 points this season (although id argue they are completely responsible for the whole mess), and whilst Daka could be blamed for us dropping 2 points yesterday, its not his fault we are where we are, regardless of how useless he is.

The man may as well play with a hexagon on his boot, cos the ball goes ****ing anywhere when he attempts to control/pass/dribble/shoot.

He might be the worst player in modern history at this club when you weigh up how much he’s cost us over the past 5 years. Again, though, the finances are not his fault - that’s all down to dumb and dumber.

It will be if we go down by 2 points. A penalty is as close to a guaranteed goal as you can possibly get. To miss that and then an absolute sitter is very poor. Thats the easiest 3 point opportunity we’ve thrown away considering the opponents threat across the whole game.

What about the 6 points Top and the board are responsible for? What about the fact we haven't signed a decent striker to replace Vardy? You're very naive if you believe Daka is to blame for us being where we are. Hes a terrible footballer and should not be in our team, but seeing as our amazing recruitment team and DOF didn't get us a striker, other than a kid from Chelsea that is clearly not good enough, we don't have much choice but to play him.

He has some competition. Soumare. Okoli. Musa. Slimani. Faes. Skipp.

But it might be because he has 3 goals in the league below he was signed for

And why is that? Because he isnt good enough, as I've previously said. So why is he playing? Because the powers that be decided not to sign and actual striker. Hes crap, but hes not to blame for where we are.

It was a decent save however serious questions have to be asked as to why he took it.

When he had the ball in his hands I assumed he was doing the thing where he takes the pressure off the taker and was going to pass it on.

JJ would have been my first choice.

Whatever our fate is for next season I’ll still be having massive celebrations knowing that useless shower of s*** is out of contract.

Is he a good footballer? No. Is he a bad person, or have a bad attitude or act like a tw@t? No. Its fair to say hes a bad footballer but to say you "hate this tw@t" is just unnecessary. Everyone is frustrated, but if we go down, it certainly won't be because Daka missed a pen and a sitter against Watford.

I'm sorry but attitudes like this is exactly why the club and huge sections of the support have zero standards.

If we go down by a point or on GD of course you're going to look at very obvious moment in the season when we dropped easy points. Yesterday is a huge example of that.

It's the culmination of these huge moments that apparently are inconsequential that have left us in this situation. It's elite level sport, it largely hinges on big moments going your way or not.

And I'm counting the board level decisions on this too btw. Each on in isolation might not sink the ship but it puts another hole in it.

Hes shit, he shouldn't be playing. He shouldn't be taking pens as he has zero confidence. But we dont have any other strikers at the club. Ayew also missed a pen a few weeks back. Okoli, Thomas and Jakub have all given goals away and lost us points. Not one person is to blame for this mess, it's a collective fck up from board level to managers and coaches to the players. I just dont like this idea of pinning one penalty miss on a relegation.
