As much as I think match going fans are treated abysmally in this country, on this topic the issue appears to be the location of the match only drawn four weeks before it occurs. The travel situation isn't perfect but they are able to attend, just not as conveniently as it usually would be. I don't think you can just decide venues after the draw has been made.

Now, if they'd built the national stadium in the middle of the country.....

I remember back in 2000 when they were planning the new stadium, one concept was to build a national stadium near Birmingham. Backed by the late Doug Ellis even Sven welcomed the idea and felt with the plans of St George's Park underway at Burton this would be suitable. However the Fa made sure the national stadium stayed in London... so they can keep the money in London.

London is the Capital City, that's where the National Stadium should be.

Use Villa Park/Old Trafford and nowadays even Anfield/Etihad for semi finals but finals should always be at Wembley in London.

3.30 kick off for Man City v Liverpool on the Saturday.

Presume the TV blackout doesn’t matter in this case then ?

Thought that was PL and EFL league games only.

Seen Notts County vs Chesterfield is on TV at 3pm tomorrow.

The issue with this is so many different arguments coming into play.

I don't believe the semi-finals should be at Wembley but you'd get the maximum amount of fans for a club there as opposed to any other ground plus lesser teams if you like might enjoy going there. Then there's the issue of hosting semi-finals on a bank holiday weekend which is usually a boom time for rail engineering works which makes it tougher (but not impossible as is being made out, I often have to get coaches instead of trains and still make it to matches). Two Northern clubs in London doesn't make sense but you can't change venues at such short notice very easily.

I think, on this topic, fans just have to accept it and either get there or not. It's a pain but not insurmountable.

This is just one minor reason of a great many reasons why the Easter holiday should be fixed. This year's Easter in mid April is more or less perfect. The weather is better (hopefully). What's the point of having a long weekend at the start of March when it's freezing,

A fixed Easter holiday would make planning of events so much better.

3.30 GMT so I'm guessing it'll actually be 4.30 when it comes around?

Apparently it's to do with less than half of the English Football pyramid's games being played at Saturday 3pm on that day.

Most games are being played Good Friday/Easter Monday as opposed to just on the Saturday.

Reckon a Liverpool v Chelsea final with Chelsea winning it overall.

Liverpool to win the champions league and Man City to win the league though.

Don't get what riyad has done to get shafted out the team. Been their best player all season and think I'm right in saying didn't start their last 2 games either? Bit weird.

Clearly this is a heavily rotated team. They don't give a shit they want to win the CL.

That's shocking from Steffan.

Fancied Liverpool to winwhen I saw the City backline. Ake, Zinchenko and Steffan starting. All decent players, but this is a cup semi against one of the best sides in Europe, you don't piss about with the defence.

WTF was that goalie doing?

P1ssed off with all this playing from the back by goalies. Serves the tw@t right.

Hate Liverpool SO much but Man.C are being given a new arsehole.

They just had the shit kicked out of them by Atleti, lost a bunch to injuries and this is another heated game against probably their biggest competitive rivals.

With the amount of pressure on them to win the CL, they're never going to prioritise this.

Might be shit for neutrals but I doubt any Man City fan with a brain cares.
