That isn't a great side. Barnes and Lookman aren't going to get much out of Reece James and Chilwell. We're going to be lacking creativity here massively. Set up to try and not get battered basically.

Solid if uninspiring line-up by us. I guess we are going to sit back and hope Albrighton can spring the offside trap to play in the three forwards. Chronic lack of creativity throughout however :scarf:

Sadly this seems to be the way with Ricardo now. Manages to play a couple of games then picks up a hamstring injury, which puts him out for a few weeks.

First league home game I'm missing for years due to covid...is it worth keeping out of here during the game for sanity reasons???

A front 3 is definitely the way to go against Chelsea, attack the space between the wing backs and wider centre backs.

But I’ve no idea how we’re going to get them

the ball.

That's not a team for playing possession football. That's a counter attack side if ever I saw one.

Soak up pressure and hit the front 3 as much as possible.

Disagree, I think their wing backs are weak. Width seems the best way to unlock their defence. I can see Barnes and Lookman enjoying some good attacks down the wings. Albrighton has always proved that he can defend wel but also get good balls in from deep.

This is a hard one to call but i think as we have set up so defensively, we'll invite a lot of pressure that our defenders won't be able to cope with.

If we are to score, without Youri, then the only other person who offers near to that kind of creativity would be Maddison who is on the bench.

I think this will be a case of hanging on for dear life for a 0-0 - A very dangerous game to play with our sub standard defence.

I think Barnes might. Lookman appears to be doing a Nathan Dyer

Depends if you want to read 40+ pages of 'Rogers out' and 'Why is Cags so shit', and everybody blaming Vestergaard even when he's not playing when we inevitably fall a goal behind after 7 minutes :scarf:

Weak?

They've been Chelsea's stand out performers and top goal scorers recently.

Mate, I hope so, and it's just the kind of thing this team can pull off - my main lack of confidence is the defence.

Everyone is saying that we are light in the middle of the park yet we have the same number of central midfield players as them? Plus both are defensive?

Light on anyone that can actually pass a ball in midfield.
