Thought and wanted Maddison to play. Surprised with Albrighton playing but didn't know Pereira was still.

That looks very light in the middle of the park. Still harsh that Ian isn't in the side.

Rodgers does tend to get it right when he’s had time to think about things.

 

But I have to say that line-up doesn’t inspire confidence. Missing probably our 3 most creative players in Maddison, Tielemans and Iheanacho. Maybe four most if you throw Ricardo in there.

A front 3 is definitely the way to go against Chelsea, attack the space between the wing backs and wider centre backs.
