With any players out of contract this summer all we need to do is get their book value as transfer fee and we profit on the loss of wages.

 

If Daka, Soumare and Winks went that would save us over £200k a week without affecting our matchday squad.

Regardless of us letting him go for free, I imagine we'd have to still pay him something to do so

The problem is, he will not take a 6 month contract (unless silly money is offered) as he would have suitors. But he is at that age where he could fall off a cliff - meaning you’re potentially left with a very expensive ineffective player for a year or so. We have so many of them.

 

If he was linked with us, I’d still be interested it what he could do (unlike Antonio).

Probably because he playing CF, rather then being shoehorn in.

 

We never got the best out of him, we had Nacho, Maddison and him all capable of playing at 10, should have sold one and brought in a RWer, we would have got CL.

He has got very ugly family issues in cov(not his fault), close relative went to school with him, didn’t go to one of his siblings weddings, I don’t think he is likely to end up in the midlands full stop tbh
