Reading Twitter I think a lot of our younger supporters are in for a shock if they think they’re going to get a free run of the city too

Which game was it in our Championship days, when it really went off outside after FT?

Fair point.

I can't stand them, but they have got some lads, so I wouldn't take too many liberties..  It's not like a jolly trip to Notts County.

There generally hasn't been too much trouble at Forest over the years, as there's usually been a big police presence, and the ground is well structured for keeping most fans apart.  Certainly after the game, anyway.   Since the Radcliffe Road river bridge was built (in about 1980), it's been easy to get fans out of the away end, and left over the bridge and the back way to the station (past Notts County's ground).   Before that was built, you had to go over Trent Bridge.   Much more fun in the 70's!

Re recent trouble ... I think it kicked off a bit after our 2-2 draw in 2003-03, and there was also a well tasty (nasty) atmosphere for the abandoned League Cup tie in 2007-08.

Obviously going much further back the oldies will recall some serious battles we had with them in 1968 and 1972.

1971 was pretty exciting for a 13 year old. I saw it up and personal as did the Forest fan that my dad put on his arse in the main stand enclosure (self defence, of course).

Would rather walk through the favelas of Rio than attend the Brian Clough trophy final, avoid.

Enjoyed the comment about “a jolly trip to Notts County”. I went there with my brother George in the early 70s to watch a pre-season “friendly” against Notts County. The whole day was full of violence with the huge number of Forest fans who showed up. After the game, the police blocked the road to the railway station and let everyone just go at it. Both sides fairly evenly balanced for numbers so it was quite the battle. Of course, that was all long before video cameras and follow-up arrests. No chance of any of those scenes these days…….which is a good thing.

According to Twitter, Forest have nearly sold out the home end already, how sweet

More than they managed against Arsenal then. Funny that they've managed that when they don't even care about us.

I just know we will lose this. Don’t live in Notts anymore but I’ve got one fücker on FB that pipes up every time we do anything shite, which is quite often, but they definitely don’t care about us lol

If you thought tonight was bad, wait till we f*** this one up

It's almost as inevitable as Harry Kane scoring against us. Our record there is second only to Arsenal away in terms of horrendous results and experiences, we are the holders which makes losing to them just that bit more embarrassing/likely and perhaps more than anything else, at least one of Vestergaard or Soyuncu will be playing. Now I don't know who plays up front for Forest nowadays but if they actually are a professional footballer theyl have enough about them to get the better of either of those donkeys.

The haven't sold.out - yet. All the STs have been held, so sell out assuming ALL STs take their seat. The unsold ones will.go to general sale

I can’t wait to see Steve Cook trying to catch Daka

I never thought I’d say this, but … imagine Vestegaard trying to catch Grabban!! Sends shivers down the spine, who on earth scouted this bloke and concluded he’s a reasonable player to recruit …

He'd probably roll it back just to nutmeg him and dribble past him again

They will beat us comfortably. They'll get in our faces and run harder than us, and their fans will be bang up for it. Our team of little boys will fall apart.

So true

Ironically I think our youngsters would actually show some fight. It's the so-called first team
