Not being a member/season ticket holder or corporate guest means  that getting a ticket for king power has seemed highly unlikely unless I wanted to sell a kidney so hearing that tickets at a reasonable price were available for this game was great news and Now I can take my old man too. Whooppee

😁...I'm excited and that is rare..watch us get beat 4 - 0

Staggering that some people will back the club over anything. It does not make you any less of a supporter if you criticise what is clearly wrong.

Come on, i do think what they did here is wrong but these constant posts on so many topics basically saying 'dont you dare defend the club because you and they are WRONG!!' does not help anything.

I think a few on here need to put their money where their mouth is, if you dont like it dont go, dont pay sky sports, dont switch football teams. Go for pre/post meetups with your group to keep the social connection going and then stream lcfc games online for free. We have a very clear and incredibly easy alternative if we dont like any of this.

Edit  - to add to this, i know someone who was asked to move to his STH seat during the championship seasons, even though there were so many free seats. Vowed never to go back because of this, missed the great escape, title season, europe etc. You have to respect that. More action less moaning

From this whole thread you have come to the conclusion that people want to stand together. Brilliant

Why should we not go? It is OUR (the fans) football club. We have every right to question decisions being made and to stand up for what we want. People who are being paid to make decisions on how we can support our team and what price we should pay etc are doing a terrible job. Staying away and watching on a stream will only make it easier.

Correct. Which doesn't mean your opinion is anymore valid than some of the fans who disagree with you.

And whilst I say it's correct, I'm pretty sure top thinks it's his club.

That's what i mean, it is our club and if you are clearly very unhappy with it, vote with your feet and your wallet. Walk away and they will soon listen and understand it is our club, and hence change. Whilst the posturing, but subsequent ticket buying, continues, the questioning is as good as DT from arsenal fan tv

This is beyond questioning decisions now, you could copy/paste the template comments from the same few when a hint of a fvck up occurs from the club. Personally i don't see the point of it or what it is achieving if you carry on paying them money, which is all they care about.

No one said it is. Difference is the majority of people on this thread have opinions which will benefit the team and their performances. A lot more than 'standing together'. The people who oppose are only thinking about themselves and how it will inconvenience them.

No I obviously do not believe every match day going fan is in that situation Bert. But I certainly believe that some are and sadly more will over the coming months and years. Not really ground breaking thinking is it.

And I agree about that. But where there are people that aren’t able to go there are, or will always be people who are able to go as well.

Tbf you disagree with CT or not, his argument is likely to be a line of a similar nature to that of the club or a fellow City supporters. A realist, doable conclusion sits somewhere in the middle of the argument. I am sure some of the lads are on here who have discussed with the club and advocated signing sections are aware of this. I think when  UFS mentioned that they have to be take a tactful approach given the club's preference for confidentiality, it brought some understanding to their annoyance.

His comment is 'throwaway' but a likely conclusion many would take - nuance seemingly doesn't exist increasingly in modern debate and that's the hot take many would summarise out of this thread.

You seem to think you're in the majority but given I've had more likes to my posts in the last week than I've ever had I'd suggest that wasn't the case....

You're in the majority cuz you've had more likes than ever before? Heard it all.

It's not a like competition mate, the majority of people on this thread want a better atmosphere and are sick of the club propelled theme park show.

A start could be.

'Thanks for taking the time to reach out, and I understand this is an emotive subject.

Fans are first and foremost at the heart of everything we do as a football club. We have recently re-started regular meetings with supporter groups and opened dialogue with supporters via the FCC meetings with the links between club and fanbase the absolute priority.

The club have several partnerships with various companies and corporations which whilst I can't disclose the full nature of, often result in tickets being made available in small quantities or at a discount. These partnerships are integral to the work that Leicester City Football Club does on and off the pitch.

I recognise that there is a strong feeling towards tickets availability and pricing, particularly following misinformation spread about the number of Nottingham Forest away tickets being distributed to staff. As a club we have decided to be far more transparant with supporters as to how many tickets are being distributed towards players, staff and corporate partners as opposed to the traditional priority scheme so that everyone knows what their realistic chances are of obtaining away tickets are in advance.

In specific relation to the discount code at hand, we recognise this was an error of judgement. Cool as Leicester are doing wonderful things for the City of Leicester as a whole, and in recognition of the work they are doing and taking our relationship further we decided to give a discount code to make tickets more affordable for their members. Unfortunatly, this code was shared outside of the group, and we have learned that next time these discounts will be given to members only. Also, I can see how letting members buy up to six tickets each at a discount will be frustrating and upsetting to Season Ticket Holders and Members who are amongst our most loyal supporters financially supporting the club. Moving forwards we will review how we can offer these opportunities without impacting the fan base in a negative way.

Thanks for taking the time to reach out - if you would like to discuss these issues any further please give me a call - I'd also like to invite you to the next FCC to give you an idea of the work we are doing to increase dialogue between club and supporters moving forwards.'

Not difficult - shows things are being taken seriously and doesn't divulge too much information, acknowledges how the wrong idea can be gained. Is that too much to ask for accountability and honesty (to a point).

Do you think Jim has the time in the day to respond to (what i'm assuming are) hundreds of emails like that?

A complaint was made, it got forwarded to the complaints team for an appropriate response.

I know people on here think the club are full of people that don't give a shit or are lazy or that don't care but at the end of the day, it's a business and when people make complaints I think they should be dealt with formally.

My point to you in this instance is regarding the half price tickets to some  but not other possibly more deserving 'customers' of a discount. Surely you can't defend that?

A lot of your other posts on various subjects I agree with.

Hope this clarifies.

No, but clearly he has spent time writing in with a considered response - this has clearly not had more than 30 seconds spent on a response. I typed that email in less than 5 minutes. It's really not hard to filter out the rubbish from a considered email and ammend from a stock response. Or invest properly in customer relations.

It seems that they’ve managed to put a response together now…

‘The Club has a small number of community and commercial affiliates with whom it runs limited offers and promotions as part of in-kind agreements that assist community engagement. Such offers are extended to a limited audience and are regularly reviewed to ensure the value they represent is appropriate.

Kind Regards

Jim’

If appropriate then I wonder why it was stopped, and I wonder whether it shall continue should we progress…

The reply by @Yes N'Didifurther up the thread was far far superior.

83% at 32,000 will soon become 75% at 40,000. Just don't see how we will consistently get close to 40,000.

In my opinion this decline in interest is due to the club pushing this family atmosphere, restrictions and curbing any enthusiasm. European quarter final at a club that has 22,000 STH and struggling to sell out. People are just not interested and it's not the football on the pitch that is the reason. It's the sanitisation and the control the club are trying to impose.

....could it simply be the more successful we become, the more our supporters become selective in the games they come to watch!!!

There’s quite a lot of discussion in this thread about whether we’d fill a 40,000 seat stadium.

 The expansion isn’t about that.

There was a little line in one of the consultations that makes me expect that the majority of the seats in that new East Stand will be kept for general admission and or corporate/hospitality at inflated prices and targeted at one-off or once-in-a-blue-moon attendees. Sold at a premium and worth the cost of 2 or 3 seat-holders elsewhere in the ground.

10,000 people paying £45-50 is worth more to the club than 20,000 season ticket holders paying £18 for a game or whatever it works out at pro-rata.

So the question becomes, can we sell a certain number of tickets at a premium rather than every ticket at a standard/lower price point?

Then of course, for the big games, every seat will be filled and you get the best of all worlds. Not to mention all of the other revenue streams that come with the stadium site being a 7-day-a-week destination, apartments, a bigger club shop, a business center and arena etc.
