We all “want” season tickets but what do those people do about it? Are they members? Do they go to as many home games as possible currently to get their points up to be eligible when the time comes?

I know loads who “want”’a season ticket but it’s just something they say as a pipe dream when one’s on offer. Didn’t want one in 2008 did they

I agree with this. Hear loads of people like this. Similar to those who every few months are ‘never going to the football again as the games gone’ but will never stop going. Every club has scores of people in both camps

A mixture of both.

My point is they will not have trouble selling an extra 3k or 4k of season tickets.

What your point?

Unless you wanted a season ticket in 2008 you can't have one now?

What are people born in 2009 suppose to do?

Should we ban them from having one?

Yes, definitely.

Unless you've lived through Pleat, Taylor, Levein and Ian bloody Holloway then frankly you've not done your penance to qualify!

I did Pleat and Taylor, but then had kids and missed Levein and Holloway :sweating:

Started going back down with the son in the L1 season.

He has had it so good, lucky bugger

Guys I just picked 2008 at random. Take age away from it it’s the point that people say they want one but don’t do owt.

I’m a member currently. Hoping to get a ST next season with my 7 year old boy.

demand : that’s a funny thing. Sat in p3 against Brentford and on my row there were 3 empty to my right, two fans next to my boy then 3 empty next to them the other side. I know covid and isolating has an impact currently but you often see a fair few empties. However the games are classed as sold out so I guess they’re sold tickets and they count them in the attendance?

Exactly. My son was born in 2015. Is he not allowed a season ticket now? He’s gained 20+ priority points in one season, was that for nothing? 😂😂😂

Fair enough we differ on what we think Leicester folk can afford.

Do you really believe every match day going fan is someone that struggles to rub two coins together?

Brentford was the most under attended PL game I can recall ……..

No I obviously do not believe every match day going fan is in that situation Bert. But I certainly believe that some are and sadly more will over the coming months and years. Not really ground breaking thinking is it.

31,830 was the attendance for Brentford supposedly

I imagine a fair few no shows in that, the 2 STH’s next to me weren’t at the game

Yes, I was referring to the empty seats which were obvious around the stadium. I’d estimate that there were less than 30k there.

This needs some clarification from the club.

For those who don’t know, Cool As Leicester is like an Instagram page promoting local events and businesses and they offer a black card (paid for and limited in number) where they have agreements with some of those businesses for discounts etc.

It’s not immediately clear why the football club would be engaging with them on any charitable type of basis (unless they also do some kind of work for underprivileged groups etc on the side). But the club already have football in the community departments and I’m sure links with every local school etc so I can’t figure out why any initiative along those lines would not just be handled through that. Those initiatives are, and I believe would be even in this instance, supported by pretty much every fan who will appreciate that giving back or getting school kids in for cheap is important for the club’s role in the community.

But a discount code for an exclusive group of paid-for card holders with a small-scale Instagram page? That would make less sense…

I’ve seen on their socials that the girl who founded it has put up photos of her in hospitality down the KP so there’s obviously some kind of business arrangement on the go. But if that extends to LCFC offering 50% discounts to people who aren’t regulars rather than sensible pricing all round to just pack the ground out that way then that stinks.

Do we actually even know if it has anything to do with Cool As Leicester or have people just saw the word 'Cool' in the discount code and made an assumption?

On the screenshots of people that used it it said something about an Outreach program which essentially is a scheme that helps those who are underprivileged, no? Surely not some members of a paid discount scheme?

Poor turnout in the Brentford end.

Yikes. Was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt if it was a community outreach program but that's an absolute slap in the face to the fans yet again.

And as always people are falling over each other to defend the club for a few rep points on Foxestalk.

Yeah but Sol, have you not considered the savings on that free beer and doughnut?

Is it a pure coincidence or are these faux pass happening more frequently the less present our owners are around the club? Just cannot imagine these clangers happening as often under Vichai's watchful eye or when Top was around more regularly.

Not the first time in a organisation a operational management decision is made that isn't inline with strategic thinking.

I imagine Top has a lot on his plate with dealing with the fallout of the pandemic across KP portfolio.
