New update about our interest that was initially brought up in January, price has also dropped to €20m as he will only have 1 year left on his contract in the summer

http://sportwitness.co.uk/explosive-leicester-targets-price-gone-e40m-e20m-better-chance-deal-summer/

At the start of this year, we covered claims made in France that Leicester City have been interested in Mohamed-Ali Cho for a ‘very long time’.

It was also explained the Premier League side have held talks with Angers for the striker, and the Ligue 1 side are ‘asking for €40m’ to part ways with their player.

The France U19 international scored a brace in his country’s 5-0 win over Sweden U19 this month. He’s also found the back of the net on two occasions in the league for Angers this season.

Foot Mercato brings the latest update on the clubs looking at the 18-year-old and Leicester are mentioned in the report.

Cho’s current deal run down in 2023. This, coupled with his ‘explosive profile’ and ‘room for improvement’ makes him a ‘very coveted player’ in the market.

After Leicester City and Borussia Dortmund, Real Betis are now said to be interested in the player.

It’s claimed the La Liga side have made contacts with the attacker’s entourage, but they have not made ‘concrete progress’, which should come as an encouragement for Leicester and BVB.

After stating that Angers are asking for €40m in January, Foot Mercato now explain they want €20m for Cho, but the latest price tag has put off Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

Cho will enter the final year of his contract in July and without a renewal, Angers could try to cash in from his sale in the summer, which is also why his price tag might have halved.

Could well see him in as Iheanacho's replacement and then he'll also cover right wing with us signing Madueke or Brennan Johnson to be pur main right winger.

....it would be great to have Madueke as the RW, we would have to play differently with Johnson!!!

Lots of pace and high tempo with Madueke it would be more a passing game where we look to play out from the back.

Madueke would be my 1st choice if we can't get Tete but I do massively rate Johnson and even him being right footed doesn't bother me, he is mustard.

...funny thing is I felt that Maddison would not be with us too long, as just looking at his showreel when he signed, I  felt it was going to be not long before United came calling!!!

Just watching him in the home (first) game against Liverpool and you just had a feeling that there was something missing in his game. It seems that those elements of being short of pace and not a dynamic player has finally come about.

Madueke is going to fall into the same situation and if he is as good as he seems, we are likely to have him for a short time. He looks like he could go to the very top, I just can't see it taking 3 years plus, to become the player we believe he will  be.

In some ways it's good Madueke has had problems this season, no way one of the big 6 touch him just yet. Spurs may have but have gone for Kulusevski, so unless Bowen moves then West Ham don't need him and that leaves us as the next best option. Villa, Southampton and Newcastle will no doubt be linked and Leeds if Raphinha goes but we are without doubt the best option, he's got a free run at being the best right winger at this club in years and it's the obvious move for him.

£25m for Tielemans with a year left, Belgian international, FA cup winner, 380 career apps.

£20m for Mohamed Ali-Cho, sure

He's got so much hype this lad but I think he's still some way off being 1st team material week in, week out for a top 6 chasing PL club. Signings for the future aren't really going to help us in the short term and we need them to.

I think it depends on the price. I like the price for that promising Turkish LB but 20 million for a striker that won’t help us in the next year or 2 doesn’t make a ton of sense for us. The counter argument to that is even if he doesn’t perform well he will still be young enough to sell at a decent price.

We need players that can improve us, that doesn't mean they have to be experienced but they need to have impressed the recruitment team enough that their progression will occur almost immediately.

Surely if the plan is to sell Iheanacho, then we will be looking to buy a young striker that costs less than the sale.

Not implausible then that we would be looking at him.
