Awareness, vision and ball skills, he can play as a striker or a Left-wing, we already have those positions covered. Edited 25 April 2022 by sacreblueits442 Spelling error. 1
Ric Flair Posted 8 May 2022 Posted 8 May 2022 Form picking up recently 2 goals and an assist in his last 3 games.
Pliskin Posted 26 May 2022 Posted 26 May 2022 It’s worth noting that he holds a duel British citizenship due to being part of Everton’s academy. So he would be familiar to the English game and life in England. He’s got all of the skills to be come a right attacking forward. 1
JimJams Posted 26 May 2022 Posted 26 May 2022 I’ve only seen a few highlights of the lad, but so far I think he looks a bit…. …. …… seems there’s no dog poop emoji.

LFox99 Posted 26 May 2022 Posted 26 May 2022 no offense but 5 goal involvements in nearly 2000 minutes played... Why exactly are we looking at him, might as well promote Hirst if those are the numbers we're looking for

We need a mix of both but seldom have the luxury of investing fees in to players who are for the future. Our forward planning has stalled a little, hopefully our academy will take care of this angle soon enough though. Also progressive players improve fast, so many talented youngsters go from very mediocre output in their teens one season to ripping it up the next. Rutter at Hoffenheim this time last year would have been dismissed and then now is seen as one of the most exciting young forwards in Europe. 1

Sadie Mane’s stats a Metz were very ordinary, now look at him, Mahrez at Le Havre hardly pulled trees up either. I think some fans get hung up on young players stats, if the raw ingredients are there then they can be coached. Ali-Cho is probably a bigger talent then some want to recognise. 1

Easy with hindsight, for every Mane and Mahrez there are 100s with raw ingredients who don't make it big.

Bit we're supposed to have one of the best scouting systems in the country, so if they have flagged him as a must buy then hopefully he'd be one of the outliers. We need a near perfect window.

There is, but equally there’s success stories too. You can look at it as a glass half full or half empty. Focusing on the ones that haven’t worked out will always confirm the bias that young raw players don’t achieve anything, but if you focus on the ones that do then you’ll see that it’s an equal split. For all of Brendans faults, the one thing you can say is he vastly improves young players, Fofana is destined to be one of the best players in the world. James Justin is looking like a future England regular, Maddison has been tearing trees up this season, Kelechi turned what was a finished career here around. **** even Mendy steps up when needed. You can’t give up on the clubs ability to find and improve players because of a few bad hits, it’s inevitable due to the sheer amount of recruitment that goes on in football that some won’t turn out how you want sometimes. This summer we need to revert back to how we used to be, find those players with the raw talent and maximise they’re potential. Whilst also signing a veteran to add some more experience. For every Ali-Cho there’s and Eriksen to address the balance. Im exited to be honest, I reckon next season we will achieve something special again. Furthermore look at Everton, and Villa to some extent…. Spending millions on “proven” quality, only to end up completely average, and nearly relegated. Edited 26 May 2022 by Pliskin 2

Ric Flair Posted 11 June 2022 Posted 11 June 2022 By no means a guaranteed success but these are the sorts of prices that we ought to be taking 1 or 2 risks because our determination to buy more proven players in the 23-28 age bracket hasn't been anymore successful in recent years. 4

A shame that with the business we have to do this summer I can't imagine there will be much extra money for these kind of deals this summer, unless there is a massive sale (Maddison, Fofana etc.) 1

Hopefully our academy will help us instead in the coming years, there's more than 1 way of doing it and possibly cheaper, personally it would be ideal to cover all angles especially with the option of Leuven to help as well.

We certainly need to be smart with our business this summer I like Lookman but this is where someone like Cornet might be smarter as he is a bit more adept at playing on both wings and also as striker Pick up someone like Kokcu or Eriksen who can play as an 8 but also further forward as a 10 if needed Could be why we are interested in someone like De Ketalaere, as he can offer an option at right wing, 10, and upfront if needed Quality but versatile players should be the focus this summer, especially if we want to start reducing the size of the squad as well Edited 11 June 2022 by moore_94 4
