If you can step away from the frustration and annoyance, we looked ok away at OT and are disappointed not to have won. We just aren’t going to make europe via the league so as long as we haven’t picked up any knocks, todays game is good for us moving forwards - we have to get a good win on Thursday and some more minutes into wes and Johnny

Apparently a tight calf - hopefully nothing of any note although that could mean he doesn’t start on Thursday

Seems clear to me. you can slow down the frames, their shins are touching, varane pushes him, as kelechi falls back he grabs his foot onto the leg of Varane and pulls it. The push does not cause the hook though, the hook is a response to the push.

Mixed feelings about that. We were the better team and should have won, but I was relieved to get through stoppage team unscathed - especially when we messed up that 4 against 2 breakaway.

 

I reluctantly think it was a foul by Iheanacho, but we all know that there would have been no VAR check had that happened at the other end. Big club bias by Premier League officials unfortunately comes as standard - as further evidenced by the mere yellow card for McTominay’s reckless lunge on Maddison.

That is exactly why I hate VAR. It’s got referees looking at things in slow motion when the sport is played at real time. Things happen which occur with collisions.

But you can't slow them down on the McTominay red, button doesn't work both ways.
