Strong and Stable.

The central bank having to step in to protect the U.K. economy from its own government has to be more humiliating than U-turning on a couple of the slated tax cuts.

The thing is, they didn't even have to do much to ensure that they stayed in power for the best part of another decade or so. In 2019 Boris Johnson obtained an enormous majority and a coalition of voters that the conservative party had never had before. Had he run number 10 with some level of discipline, things would not have spiralled quite like this.

Well, May and Johnson got in by scapegoating the EU and saying they needed the majority to leave the EU and create a better country for us all outside of it and how our lives would all improve once they got us out there.

They can’t use that scapegoat anymore and it’s also surely become clear to anyone who it wasn’t already, that Brexit was all quackery and snake oil salesmanship anyway.

Imagine how much worse the current situation would be if we were still shackled to the BLOOMING EU.

It would be unbearable wouldn't it? Thank goodness for those that took us out

So you deny that Von der Leyen made suggestive threats to the Italians before Meloni even took office. Or have made slurs against Hungary's right of centre government, and Poland, anyone on the right and having Nationalistic endeavours are a target of the EU.

Deserving slurs in the case of Hungary and Poland

Boris will be back in by Christmas at this rate.

Start looking out for the fluff pieces on about how he is the only man that can win an election start cropping up over the next week or so.

We've definitely not seen the last of him, that's for sure. He'll pop again somewhere and not just as an MP.

Utterly pathetic - two of them wanted to run the country and now just going to boycott. Show some leadership - Rodgers esque moves by them

I completely misread that. Anyone else?

He always knew Truss was going to blow but he probably thought he had a year to go and make some money first.

The Tories know they are facing electoral annihilation now. There wasn’t even a bounce in the polls for the new PM after the queen died. They will be desperate for their ‘vote winner’.
