If we win it, that will be 3 major trophies in 6 years. Outside of Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool, what other English club could match that?

No other team

Yep I noticed this earlier, it’s a good thing we have a good record in that kit

Our away form has been that bad that none of our kits we've won we've done very well in 😂

Have we won a game in either away kit this season? 😂😂😂

Nerves are building now. Biggest game of the season so far. Hopefully Madders is fit as he's been our most creative player. Big big game for Barnes, looks like he will start, he needs to get back to his best and use that thing in his head!

Vards could add that cherry on top of his rather large cake with a 'Vardy' game. I'd love to see him cupping his ears infront of the Roma ultras banging in his third of the night!

I still think perspective is needed. We are LCFC, 5th place is and always will be over achievement, even if we were in a good place to be 4th. To mingle with the top 6 twice on a row, then despite an injury ravaged season get to a semi final, its success.

My reaction to the inclusion of the words 'overachievers', overachieving and any variation of that idea is to sigh with exasperation.

No more forelock tugging to the bigger clubs, please. We are Leicester City. When our lads take to the field we're now looked upon as a potent threat and respected as a club with ambition and an infrastructure to envy.

It's been a problematical season, what with injuries and a less than successful recruitment window, but we have Top at the helm and he seems to be in it for the long term. Maybe we do need a fresh manager with more tactical noise than BR, yet there's potential to maintain a higher position for a longer period than any City team in our history.

Both Vardy and Tielemans have been very low key in Europe for us these last 2 seasons, Vardy isn't usually a starter in the groups stages so that's one of the reasons he's not done a lot but he's still got some unfinished business. A big game goal from him for us in long overdue, likewise Youri.

I've said a few times, I can picture a Tielemans goal in this famous stadium tonight. Either player will do, just get the job done.

I can picture him scoring tonight aswell. With no goalie, in light training. Let's hope he also scores tomorrow 😊☺️

Just joking mate, I wish the game was tonight too.

Great post, don't disagree with much, but despite our recent rise and success, competing consistently in top 5 or 6 and being where we were, top 4 all season really, 2 seasons running, is over achievement there's no other way of describing it. We can't start to believe that the exception is the rule.

Pre-match Press Conference vs Roma - Kasper Schmeichel

Rodgers said he didn't know about Conference League?

“When you’re in a competition your sole focus is on that competition, which is what is happening now. We go to win whatever we're involved in and this is no different.”

Not going to rank up with FA Cup and Prem - but where will it rank?

“That’s not obvious. It’s a European trophy, every trophy is important, every competition you can win is important. I don’t play football to finish fourth or fifth or sixth, it’s about winning trophies. These are those moments fans and players will look back on when your career is over.”

Experience of semi-finals and finals?

“I don’t know how you get better quickly. I don’t know if that’s possible. I think it gets stored in the bank of experience. This is a great experience for so many players and these are the type of moments that you can look back on one day and draw back on when you need them. It all contributes to the mentality you build, and it’s a winning mentality we want to build. Being in these situations and getting to finals where everything is on the line. When you've been there before, you can draw on those experiences.”

Roma?

“They’re very well organised and very well drilled, I would expect nothing less from a Jose Mourinho team. They are a dangerous side, they showed they can be clinical. They played the game how they wanted to play it. They were probably happy to get away with the draw so they could decide it at their stadium. They’re a very organised team, one that will be dangerous. To be honest our focus is more on us than the opposition. It’s all about how we oppose our football.”

Played there before?

“No. It’s always a great experience to play in places you've never played before. It’s an iconic stadium.”

....how many times do we have to make top 6, for you to equate our position as the norm!!!

Do other none top 6 teams need to also break that monopoly for our achievement to be acknowledged as a good season, or do you believe unless we are a club with £200m to spend every  season the criteria for classing what we achieved an "under achievement ."

We should take this notion of under or over achievement out of the discussion, as we achieved what was at the time, something  that was very much attainable.

Fvck me ok mate since 1884 how many times have LCFC finished in the top 4 5 or 6 of the top division? And not only that how many times have we done it in consecutive seasons? If you're one of those who think we should be competing for the top 4 every season then it's no wonder people are try Ng to hound out Brendan, we will be hounding out managers a lot if that's the case. We are enjoying a great period in our history, let's just enjoy it and see how long it lasts.

Pre-match Press Conference vs Roma - Brendan Rodgers

Maddison and Dewsbury-Hall?

“They’re ok, they trained yesterday and came through well.”

Mentality?

“The same character we have shown to get to this stage. We know how to get the job done, Rennes and PSV were difficult games against good sides. It’s a similar mentality.”

Will Stadio Olimpico crowd effect game?

“Not necessarily, they may want them to go forward a little bit more. But the system is based on being solid. The front two may press a little more and come up the pitch. I suspect the game will be similar, but they may be buoyed by that to attack more. The threat from Roma is on the counter attack and set-plays.”

Use crowd to your advantage?

“It also could be a disadvantage. You know you have to deal with that pressure, but at the same time you can use it to your advantage . We have played in some big atmospheres, it won’t be anything too much new. We are looking forward to experiencing it.”

Enjoy it or focus on job in hand?

“You have to go and enjoy it. We knew we were going into tough environments, this is another step forward mentally in the maturation of the team. It’s a very young team playing at this level. We’ve shown we can complete tasks. We have to embrace the challenge, we have won games before in these cirucmaanes, we will go out there with no fear.”

If reach final, it will be 60 games?

“Let’s get to the final and then we'll have that opportunity. It’s a great credit to the players that they have been able to keep going. Unfortunately for us, the ability to challenge at the top end of the table was hampered, but the players have kept the spirit and have kept fighting. If we can get to the final, it will be a great effort by them all.”

Big teams left in?

“I’m pretty sure that was the notion of Uefa when the competition was put together. There was disappointment when we came out of the Europa League, when you saw the level of the teams, you know it’s a prestigious competition. That’s the desire we’re carrying as we look to get to the final.”

Get to final?

“We're playing now in a one-off game. I know we have been able to do a good job against difficult teams and that has really helped us.”

Vardy?

“He’s coming through well, so he’s ok for the game. He's available to start. He's ready. Everyone is fit and available, apart from Wilf and Ryan Bertrand."
