Popular Post Collymore Posted 23 July 2024 Popular Post Posted 23 July 2024 (edited) Whether you want to blame Rodgers for playing him or Ward himself for being so incompetent it's rare in football that relegation can be put on just one player's shoulders. I'm almost certain if Ward hadn't played that season we wouldn't have been relegated. How the other players don't see that and kind of blame him for it I don't know. Maybe they do behind his back, who knows. Anyway, I can't wait for the day he leaves the over paid fraud. He's cost us something like £35m in wages and fees over his career, got us relegated (add another £120m) - the bloke's a one man walking recession. I don't particularly get a good vibes from him either as a bloke. Edited 23 July 2024 by Collymore 12 1
mozartfox Posted 23 July 2024 Posted 23 July 2024 If Cooper starts with him against Spuds, then I would want Cooper, ,Ward and Dufkin dismissed at half time. And hopefully there is a Clause in Cooper's contract stating that we can relieve him of his duties without compensation if the Club can prove he is insane. 1 3

Among that quartet are the number ones for the three teams who went down, Southampton and Leeds joining City in the drop zone. 2

Stolarchyk is decent, but he appeared very nervous in his few starts, so imagine how vulnerable he'd look in the EPL. If Hermansen gets sold, I could seriously see Cooper starting Ward. If Stolarcyk getting like 5 clean sheets out of 6 or whatever it was is nervous then Ward conceding 22 goals from his first 40 shots must be the equivalent of a breakdown? 1 1
Popular Post Father Ted Posted 23 July 2024 Popular Post Posted 23 July 2024 If he starts first game, the fan base has to be vile from the start and boo his every touch. Not watching another year of him star jumping over the ball and us getting relegated. Anybody who is like “you can’t do that, support your players and team, Leicester til I die” can do one. The future of our club is in his hands and it’s that serious that we cannot allow history to repeat itself. 8 1
sdb Posted 23 July 2024 Posted 23 July 2024 (edited) I've never seen a keeper move like him. It's like his instinct is telling him to get out of the balls way. Edited 23 July 2024 by sdb 2
SafewayFox Posted 23 July 2024 Posted 23 July 2024 I love an over reaction about Leicester as much as the next guy BUT are we reading too much into him playing a few minutes of a pre season friendly? Zero chance of him starting the first PL game as Cooper has eyes and not on a self destruct mission like the dwarf that was Rodgers.

Similar comments were made when we were facing relegation, and fans didn't believe it until it actually happened. 1
iancognito Posted 23 July 2024 Posted 23 July 2024 Unless Hermansen moves somewhere, he starts Vs Spurs but he was always going to get an extra couple of weeks off because of international duty. Ward is in against Shrews and a behind closed doors match. You don't read anything into anything at this stage of the season, especially with a tournament summer to work around.
Iran Posted 23 July 2024 Posted 23 July 2024 The only goalkeeper in the squad to play at a World Cup.

Collymore Posted 23 July 2024 Posted 23 July 2024 Thought that freekick at the end was going to trickle in!
lcfcsnow Posted 23 July 2024 Posted 23 July 2024 He's going to end up with a new contract, it's what we do 1
Mike1983 Posted 23 July 2024 Posted 23 July 2024 If Hermansen gets sold and Stolarczyk is out with an ankle injury, with Iversen not even getting a pop at goal against Shrewsbury, our number one will likely be the guy with the number 1 shirt on: Ward. 2 1

lcfcsnow Posted 23 July 2024 Posted 23 July 2024 Someone at the club forced Kasper out (it wasn't Rodgers, else he wouldn't have joined Celtic) so this guy became number one. Rodgers stuck by him no matter what (or was he forced to), only when it became desperate and the damage was done was he replaced. Now Maresca has been and gone (no one tells him what to do) Ward has wormed his way back in. 1
Wymsey Posted 23 July 2024 Posted 23 July 2024 It seems like he's the most-hated player to have played for the club (barring Dennis Wise, obviously)..
FoxTimmy2 Posted 23 July 2024 Posted 23 July 2024 No Premier League footy without Danny Ward – the sooner fans accept that, the better. Brace for an array of no-look star jumps and the positional awareness of a blindfolded idiot!
