I think @Ric Flair was spot on when he said Danny Ward is probably the one player we could point to.who is most responsible for our relegation, that being said, it doesnt mean he meant to be that player, whereas Youri Tielemens and Ndidi had the ability, but didn't use it so more deserving of anger for our demise, however Youri is gone, Ndidi had a word with himself, but Danny Ward is still Danny Ward, and should never have been put in our side, the anger should be directed at RVN and anyone else at the club who should have had a word, and Rodgers who has probably destroyed the player for allowing him so many games in 22/23.

From all of this for me, it's a very worrying sign about RVN and those around him that this has all happened.

As for the fans, if you shouted abuse at any of our players, shame on you, if you boo'd, I get this if it was born out of frustration, you've paid your money, and to see that teamsheet must have been frustrating

That’s because Stolarczyk doesn’t have the history of gross incompetence here that Ward does.

 

Ward is finished here, the fans will always jeer him, he has been a calamity every single time he’s played.

 

unfortunately he is on too big a salary, and too crap, for anyone to buy him while he’s in contract.

I wouldn't call it incompetence. That would be suggesting he has the ability but fails to use it. Ward can't help how he's playing, he's either way off the level we're at, or has mental issues with confidence

I think he is only a slightly below average goalkeeper, he just has absolutely no confidence after that 22/23 season. He shouldn’t be anywhere near playing for that reason. When the pressures off he is ok, but he can’t do it in the big leagues

He made 1 good save, the 3 he let in were unacceptable though.

I think Danny Ward is the hero we don’t realise we need. 
 

He’ll help us get relegated again. The EFL will throw the book at us in the form of point deductions and we’ll be relegated to League One! 
 

At which point King Power will sell up. Rudkin will leave. And from the ashes we will rise again with new billionaire owners who will run the club properly with sustained future proofing. 
 

We’ll win the champions league 2035. All thanks to one man. Danny Ward we salute you. God Bless you.

Knew it wasn’t just Justin. No credibility but I was a goalkeeper there is no way a player just leaves the ball like that without some sort of shout. Makes it worse ward shouted it knowing a wolves player was behind Justin and then pulled off that attempt at a save

Yeah i hear it - but surely Ward isn't shouting that, no matter how shit he is. But JJ definitely responds to a keepers should. Could it be Gomes shouting it, or am i just wearing a tin foil hat?

 

So funny that Faes scored that own goal against Liverpool ignoring the keepers shout, and this has happened with JJ reacting to it.

There were no good saves. The one Ward saves was a regulation save that would’ve been easy for a Sunday League Goalkeeper

Yep. In every single angle and replay, for a right-footer to score from there is mad. 

 

How are one players hands so soft to let that shot go through and not get enough on it to palm it away. 

 

Incredible how he outdoes himself time and time again. 

 

In one and a bit games he's already making himself a bit of a compilation to continue from 22/23.
