If he has managed his money well, he will never want for anything in his life, and will retire with dignity or return to Wreham, where he probably belongs. Or maybe he watched just one game of his rancid performances live and decided enough was enough 3
henry56 Posted 29 December 2024 Posted 29 December 2024 Sadly the damage was done v Wolves . Probably worst game possible for the wheelie bin to play in 3
Popular Post lgfualol Posted 29 December 2024 Popular Post Posted 29 December 2024 Just why did nobody tell RvN that Ward was a bad idea? Why did he already not know it was a bad idea? In such a vital game, that was seriously dumb. 8
Muzzy_no7 Posted 29 December 2024 Posted 29 December 2024 If we are relegated by 1-3pts I will look at the decision to play him against Wolves. 22-23 was Brenda and Wards fault. This one wouldn’t be on him but certainly an easy scapegoat. 2
phoneticerror Posted 29 December 2024 Posted 29 December 2024 He wasn’t there at all today was he? Good sign if so. 1
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 29 December 2024 Posted 29 December 2024 I don’t want to be thinking of that wolves game and this wankstain starting at the end of the season. Please don’t do that to me boys.

cruzFOX Posted 29 December 2024 Posted 29 December 2024 Jeez please bury this thread. Ward has gone. Ruud won’t play him again. Let’s leave this man alone now. 3

I think removing Ward from the circumstances he was involved in and (hopefully) giving him the MH support he might need, is the best for him. 4
Guest Bilo Posted 29 December 2024 Posted 29 December 2024 I can only imagine his confidence and mental health are shot to pieces. If he never plays for us again, and I do think that is almost certain now, then I wish him well on a personal level. Probably a solid League One goalkeeper at his next club, if he gets one and doesn't retire.
frany104 Posted 29 December 2024 Posted 29 December 2024 Just get him gone. he’s picked up an absolute packet at this club and cost us countless points. 1

Probably a solid League One goalkeeper at his next club, if he gets one and doesn't retire. Me too. It's a shame that people on here and in the ground, and I include myself, have lambasted him for his poor performances but that's born out of frustration and despair. It's not really his fault that he's poor at this level. However, he needed to admit to himself and his manager(s) that the team would have been better off if he didn't play. But what player is ever going to do that? Unfortunately for us, the number 2 becomes the number 1 when the number 1 is out. Edited 29 December 2024 by Parafox 1

Guest Bilo Posted 29 December 2024 Posted 29 December 2024 I am left wondering if he'll be paid off. If he is now effectively fifth choice behind Mads, Stolarcyzk, Iversen and Bausor, there seems little point in his staying here even for the last six months. He probably wouldn't get a game in the EFL Trophy now.

They were some expensive penalty saves but we move on.

He's persona non grata in the team now and it is the one big mistake Ruud has made (it was obvious that after the first mistake v wolves people would turn on him), he may prefer to just have the payoff and go rebuild a career, at 31 he's not old for a keeper.
