Replaces Bryan English as Head of Medicine.

Just in case anyone was still under the assumption Rodgers is calling the shots...Waller has never worked under him

Was English's contract up?

Dr Bryan English sounds like a character out of Mike Bassett England Manager

I’m sure I read on here that we’ve never had an English player. Apart from Tommy, obviously

A doctor is easy to move on

like I said, if Gerrard though this fella was so fantastic he would have taken him on …..

he may well be very competent ….

Depends if Villa are willing to give him that much control over the backroom staff.

Or the doctor may have wanted to stay at Rangers until the end of the season.

His history and some of the high profile stuff he has dealt with (Houllier, Cisse, Sissoko) and that it is supposed to be quite a coup in getting him suggests he is very competent.

Seen a few comments saying stuff along the lines of ‘get the inhalers ready’ what’s that all about? Anyone know?

Supposedly (according to football twitter) this is the guy behind Liverpool players getting the iron lung treatment. I.e they claim most of the squad have ‘asthma’ and can use steroid based inhalers to ‘treat it’

Essentially a doping loophole then?

rangers players were incredibly fit in the run up to the final just look at bassey for example.

Some wacko fans accused Rennie of doing it during the title winning season too

But he hasn't been at Liverpool in 10 years though. They've had 4 managers since then. He did seem to perform some miracle work on occasion according to his Wikipedia
