No surprises there.

 

 

but I will add that someone being available for transfer is different to being transfer listed.

Doubt HITC have any knowledge the general fan doesn't already know to be honest. Just standard transfer drivel article dropping players and names.

Even the big clubs sometimes struggle with getting rid of their deadwood, such as Drinkwater, Karius, Lingard, etc.

 

Unfortunately we’re probably stuck with the likes of Vestergaard and Bertrand until their contracts expire. Our best hope is for someone to take them on loan and pay some of their wages.

few clubs tried to get him but United wouldn’t sell.

After his West Ham loan, his value was pretty high again, going into the last year of his contract. What did Man Utd do? Refuse to sell, promise him more game time, then carry on not playing him, lose him on a free. Excellent bit of business.

True. Maybe Lingard is a bad example. But my point still stands, deadwood players are difficult to sell. 

 

Nobody is going to fork out 10m + wages for Perez, when they could just wait a year and sign him for free.

Why you so shocked at that.

They sold Pogba for 850k then bought him back for 90m now letting him walk away.

 

They gave us a world record fee for Maguire and looks like his days are numbered 😂😂

I do believe cags is a UCL player and that he believes it too. I also think he lacks confidence on a general level and that that's why he's messed up a few too often.

I think, in football, it generally pays to sell when you get an offer as you rarely see a situation where holding off makes the situation better and leads to a bigger offer, later.

 

If someone says £2 million for Perez or Vestergaard, then it's probably best to take it, as at least the wages are off the books and you can get something for them. Just using that figure as an example, not saying it would be that low.

well we know Hamza has offers. Perez was Newcastles best player before he came to us  so I’d be surprised if he doesn’t at least have offers from newly promoted teams. Cags supposedly is highly coveted on the Continent of newspaper reports are true. It I suspect it’s agent talk. Vesty plays well on the international scene so he may have some suitors and Soumarè  I remember reading was one of the ‘ Ones to watch’ players with potential before we got him so I’d suggest a loan move for him as he could come good.

 

 

 

i will say this though, Papy Mendy has played a blinder- he’s gone from 4th choice, not even in the Prem squad and seemingly on his way out to being an  important understudy to Ndidi. Fair play to him.

Yes he more than a handy player, he is a keeper , as for the rest just sell for whatever u can get and get them of the books , no use paying there wages until there contracts run out then the walk away , if we want 10 million take 5 million just get them out the door
