But there won't be. It’s genuinely heartbreaking and Trump’s racism towards Somalian’s is well known all because he hates that Ilhan Omar. Imagine growing up in war torn Somalia, finding your passion in football, then taking up refereeing to a standard that makes you literally one of the best 20 in the world and that fat lard arse stops you because he gutted the state department and holds a grudge. If the other referees went on strike…. FIFA are the biggest cowards. They’ve basically just shrugged their shoulders. Hopefully he’s chosen to referee a USA game at the next tournament. 3
MC Prussian Posted Tuesday at 07:15 Posted Tuesday at 07:15 (edited) Which LCFC fan was at the Switzerland-Australia friendly recently? Edited Tuesday at 07:15 by MC Prussian 1
Leicesterpool Posted Tuesday at 08:23 Posted Tuesday at 08:23 64 team world cup coming you think sometime soon. This world cup already feels its streching the limit. Might be a time where qualification for the top nations wont be required theyll automatically be there.

Chatting to a mate earlier and we were saying it won't be long before they do a CL-format style of it and ruin the tradition of the World Cup forever.

They'd find a way even if it was for every team in the world there'd be something like a qualifying tournament to rank the teams to replace the current ranking.

Tbf, if you've grown up in war torn Somalia, you've likely been exposed to much worse than this both in terms of severity and in terms of corruption.
Popular Post StanSP Posted Tuesday at 09:30 Author Popular Post Posted Tuesday at 09:30 I'm liking Ian Wright calling this the 'World Cup of Chaos' given how teams and officials are being denied access to US and how fans are being exploited through extortionate prices. 7

Sadly all going to overshadow the football which Trump probably doesn’t care about

Literally Blatter was just the standard 2000’s European politician (Blair, Sarkozy, Schroeder, Berlusconi). 1

fox_up_north Posted Tuesday at 12:14 Posted Tuesday at 12:14 Iranian fans now having Visas denied, despite having bought tickets. Tournament hasn't even started. At least they can say the stadiums weren't built with slavery. Genuinely I can see a load of fans getting rounded up, arrested or even shot.
Kitchandro Posted Tuesday at 12:39 Posted Tuesday at 12:39 I was always World Cup mad but the last two tournaments in particular have made me uncomfortable to watch. When it was in Russia I was quite politically naive and ignorant but I find it hard to believe anyone can be with this one, American news and social media is impossible to avoid. Anyway, it saddens me I won’t be able to enjoy it when in truth the players should be getting a huge amount of criticism for not boycotting. It’s comfortable to point fingers at a blatantly corrupt authority like FIFA and say well there’s nothing we can do. But it’s a lot harder for people to accept that Messi, Ronaldo and co plus their teammates saying ‘we’re not playing in a fascist country’ would have forced FIFA’s hand. It’s just another reason I can’t enjoy football anymore. These people are ridiculously powerful and privileged and yet they aren’t willing to make even the tiniest stand for the public. 4
South Shire Fox Posted Tuesday at 15:16 Posted Tuesday at 15:16 Its like people are just discovering Fifa are corrupt? The last 3 World cups have been in Russia, Qatar and now the USA. 2034 is in Saudi. 4 of the richest countries on the planet. Sepp Blatter, Platini, Infantino with his Trump award. What are people expecting? 😂. China will probably have the 2038 World cup 1

At least Russia and Qatar paused their human rights abuses for a month to welcome the world, America seems to be ramping them up.

Samilktray Posted Tuesday at 16:13 Posted Tuesday at 16:13 (edited) Should have just gave the whole thing to Mexico, at least they have some semblance of culture about them that stretches past border control and tater tots. Edited Tuesday at 16:15 by Samilktray 2

fox_up_north Posted Tuesday at 17:34 Posted Tuesday at 17:34 I didn't watch Qatar on principle and I was going to watch USA but between the dodgy start times, the 48 teams and all the other crap I might not bother.
leicsmac Posted Tuesday at 18:54 Posted Tuesday at 18:54 I do feel for the fans, particularly of the smaller nations, for the farce this is becoming and will be.
