Paddy's was decent one upon a time..they've believed the hype now though. Waiters almost stand on top of you whilst you're eating.

Went Taraj last night, was good. Also went Spice Bazzar recently very nice.

I thought Paddy's had gone off a few years ago, but last 2 times I've been it's been excellent. It will never be as good as it was pre covid because it's at least 30% more expensive and they have also reduced the portion sizes. The food and atmosphere is still good there though.

Khazana In Loughborough is supposed to be very good

Same people who used to run Salims. It's very average IMO and just a standard Bangladeshi one. I like Mount Ghurka in Loughborough.

Went to Mem Saab in Notts a cpl of weeks ago, thought it was top notch - it was £350 for 5 of us mind, but the food was a bit different - Ostrich for starter was delightful, as were the lamb chops. Would 100% go back.

Has anyone put a shout in for Kayal, yet? One in Leicester is very good; the one in Nottingham is excellent.

Yes. We went a few months ago, thought it was excellent.

Mates have booked us into Tamantanga on Friday, anyone been? Thoughts?

My brother was raving to me about it at the weekend.

There are two in Leicester now - virtually opposite each other. There's Kayal, which is fab - but won't have much on the menu that people will be familiar with, so leave plenty of time for reading it! Then there's the one opposite, which I think is called Kayal Green - which is veggie only. Haven't been to that one yet.

That’s Herb. Been a couple of times and enjoyed it, similar menu to the main one as far as I remember but obviously vegetarian/vegan.

Herb is quality. Much prefer the veg south Indian option than the greasy oily Bengali/Punjabi style cuisine.

Obviously not anywhere near the best but the other week whilst half cut I had an utterly superb veggie meal from bombay bites.

You seem to.like your veggie so try this near the DMU, back of king power.

Cheap and cheerful but decent.
