I think palace will miss gallacher a bit and second season for Viera may be tougher. I agree also with what you say about spurs but I have an intense dislike for them to the extent I may need professional help. I think once he finds his feet Nunez will do well and carvallo might be a star. I’m surprised city let Jesus and zinchenko leave but they must still be favourites with the addition of Haaland. Arsenal (ick) have bought well in the right places and will push hard. United have looked much more together pre season and looks like ten hag has got hold of the dressing room and spirit. With that squad they really should be doing better. With pogba and potentially ronaldo going I think that will galvanise the club. Can’t make my mind up about whether Chelsea will kick on or continue their end of season malaise. Koulibaly is a good signing and I wouldn’t rule out them doing better along with newcastle. It’s going to be an interesting and entertaining season.

Yes Ten Hag is improving Utd alright but I still think they have problems at the back conceding Goals.

I hate Arsenall also but Arsenal have signed well and are moving upwards, Like you I'm surprised Man City let Jesus go and strengthen one of their main rivals.

Chelsea are a little bit of an uknown quantity,  as you say they could be challenging or they could fall away.

When the window closes we'll have a better idea of where teams might finish.

That is an extraordinarily generous way to describe Arsenal

Promoted teams can do well but I feel like Forest have just come up a year too early, having ridden a late wave.

It's a bit reminiscent of us. Had Knocky scored the pen and we came up that year, I think we would have gone straight back down. Always felt that extra season just allowed to solidify the team and prepare the band of brothers for the Prem. Yes we were still in a relegation dogfight but it wasn't the performances. We were well in every game and on another day we'd have got results.

Think arsenal will have a good season. Seem to be smashing it in pre season.

It’s Arsenal though. They’re destined to be shit no matter how hard they try not to be.

In all seriousness though I’m not at all convinced. I don’t rate half the signings they completed, and I think they’re still a side full of too many inconsistent players to be able to do well. They’ve got a rotten run of form in their locker as well as too many Ill disciplined players in their team.

Spurs on the other hand I think have recruited very well. I’d put them above Arsenal.

Dunno think they will get top 4 atm

All the established London teams - Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham and Palace - have strengthened their squads. I can't see at this point how we end up in a position that qualifies for Europe, unless we have a season of nearly zero injury problems.

We might break the top 6, but all of our players will have to develop asthma, similar to the entire Liverpool squad.

Not a chance they get top four. Man City and Liverpool are a million miles away, then Chelsea are the club sat in between them and probably spurs.

Arsenal lack balls, and Jesus will not be a productive without the likes of KDB feeding him. And Zinchenko is bollocks, god knows that that signing is about. I’ll never be convinced by Arsenal, I think their model of recruitment may seem good on paper, but they’re usually short of the viral experience needed to be able to be a top team.

For example, they can lose 5-0 to Fulham as easily as they can to Man City.

Man City will win it.

Liverpool will be second.

Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Man Utd will shoot out for Champs League, with a possible surprise contender of West Ham and Villa to push them.

We'll finish about 12th, but will win the League Cup.

Fulham, Everton and Bournemouth will go down.

Manchester City will probably win it.
Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea will make up the rest of the top four.

5th-7th will be Arsenal, Palace and either Newcastle or West Ham.
I imagine we’ll be largely ineffectual in the race for Europe. Mainly due to the fact we won’t sign anybody and half the first eleven will be out by December.
Bournemouth, Leeds and Fulham down.

I know I’m miserable. Just the way it’ll be.

You called this, how a few of us saw it.

Not many of us had Chelsea and Liverpool out of the top 4 though.

Who could have forsaw the collapse of Liverpool. I'm sure there's plenty who put Money on them being top four.

Still there's a bit of time for them to recover before the seasons end.

I also think that the jokes aimed at Man U last season when they kept losing will switch to Liverpool this season. That added pressure on Nunez will be too tough for him and i think he will struggle. With Liverpool becoming a bit of a joke team.

Utd have quietly crept up the table with not to many noticing. I think because they were losing games in between wins, Unlike Aresenal who seemed to be winning every week and yet are not too far ahead.

Utd's win last night will give them a terrific boost of confidence unlike Liverpools abject failure in Europe who look a mess, Whatever is going on there anyone know. ?
