Relegation: Everton, Leeds, Forest 

 

Christmas 2022 Leicester is on top. 

Pep: "This is all FIFA's fault. The WC was a disaster. We need 7 subs per game NOW." 

Tuchel:"I want more players. We've offered 120m for Vardy and he demands an extra 15m per goal and a statue of him with the Leicester shirt outside our stadium." 

Klopp:"Our players our tired. Very tired. I'm thinking playing some U17 players."

For all the doom on the other threads no one has us relegated 🤔

And? Anything south of about 10th/11th would be a disaster and would see our best players leaving in droves next summer.

Who knows with Forest? They've tooled up, it might be enough to get over the line. We'll see.

 

We've enough (on paper) to do well, if we can keep main players fit and healthy. Couple of key injuries and a sequence of poor results and who knows. Finishing bottom half can't be ruled out.

 

Personally, I think we'll be 8 to 10 area. Not because we're more crap but because of other teams strengthening.

I'm not so sure that many other clubs have strengthened despite their signings.

Dont think Everton, Leeds and Southampton will go down. My theory is that if they have a shit run and end up in trouble, they'll sack their managers and a decent appointment will be able to save them based on their current squads.

It remains to be seen how those signings will work out, and I'm obviously not talking of all Prem clubs, but I think it fair to see that, at least on paper, those typically around/above us over the last few years have strengthened their squads.

Again, lets not kid ourselves that it wouldn't happen if we finished 7th. If a good offer comes in from a big club, players will want to go. That' the reality whether we're 4th, 5th, 8th, 12th.
